I believe he was about 45, same as me. Absolutely electric football player in HS with Warrick Dunn.
My senior year, they were playing on a Thursday night at Memorial Stadium against Denham. Our game (Walker) was on Friday, so me and some teammates went to the Catholic game just to see Franklin and Dunn. They did not disappoint. On the first play of the game, Franklin went about 70 yards for a TD. He was so fast that it just looked like a blur.
Really sad to hear of his passing.
RIP Kevin Franklin

He worked through a lot of tough situations in his life and came out with a smile on his face.

Sorry to hear this. RIP.

So much speed on the field.
