I actually think it will be smarter for him to go this year. Right now production is his strongest case to be a draft pick especially being a thousand yard rusher in the sec. But I feel like if he comes back he may be sharing the load a lot more since ford and ware had breakout performances and Ridley may not have as many yards by the end of next season. This may not be true but he runs that risk if he comes back. And he could have a senior year like chuck had and lose all draft stock. I would love to have him back but if I were in his spot I would go

If he's had contact with an agent, his bridge has been burned has it not?

Probably just tired of all of the wild speculation going on, when he more than likely knows what's going on.

Not necessarily. He'd have to take compensation, I believe, for the bridge to be burned. Is Jan. 15th the date by which underclassmen have to declare?

Cyrus Gray- Had 7 yards on 5 carries against Arkansas and -3 yards on 5 carries against Oklahoma State, 'nuff said.

You might be underselling this guy- he was probably averaging 7 ypc the first half vs LSU and finished with 100yds on 20 carries. He is very strong for his size and obviously is quick/fast both between the tackles on to the perimeter. He looked very talented to me. His only downside is he weighs 200 lbs, still could be an extremely productive back but not an every down guy. Much rather have a C. Gray than an overpaid Reggie B.

Agreed. He did do very well against LSU, it's just a little off-putting seeing that he had two consecutive games where he netted 4 yards between them on 10 carries.

Yep. Some of us have seen much more of him, from film to game play, for a lot longer than most, Lester. Some of us remember he was ranked the number 1 athlete out of Ms. his senior year. And, a few of us can recall that as an LSU recruit, the OC and DC squabbled over which side of the ball this kid was going to play due to the skills he possessed. He'll do well in the NFL.

As much as you stalk posts on him, you should have noticed this already.

Does anyone know if Ridley has an official 40 time?

This could cap his draft value more than anything else, and I don't think another year in school is going to change that.

i would guess 4.6 range. His workouts are going to be huge.

if he is slower than that, he probably wont get drafted at all. Im guessing that is why he is heading off so early. He needs to run well.

Isn't the last day to decide the 15th? It's really not early at all.

the combine is in a little more than a month, every day counts. he's not lolly-gagging around BR or anything. he's getting down to business

I didn't realize it was that soon. Hopefully he can run a good 40.

SR exit opens a door for others. But Mett? Not in the equation unless Jarett Lee goes away. Jefferson is the locked-in starter. Mettenberger will not shake this foundation -- at all.
