just another kid with a degree from LSU and a framed jersey in his office. Everyone makes decisions for different reasons and have different dreams.
The likelihood of that is slim. He’s good enough to start on a lot of sec teams. This is another thing that would surprise me immensely.

The backup QB is always better at LSU! Just like in 2018 when some were calling for the 4 Star gun slinger, Brennan, to start over the transfer, Burrow, who couldn’t win the starting job at OSU.

You think that quote is a current statement about the QB comp.

It’s a general statement about depth chart choices

I agree. Myles is going to light it up somewhere this Fall, it’s just a question of whether or not it’s at LSU

I could be mistaken, but I believe McMillan was a graduate transfer, and I think Brennan graduated as well, allowing him time to still transfer

Gotta be Max, I would think. Can't believe it's even close.

You should look at our qb stats before Miles injury.

He was doing very very well. Like better than most SEC qbs and better than Max's stats in many ways.

And for some reason, you "Can't believe it's close"

If Brennans pocket awareness has improved tremendously then he may well be the starter. In the first game last year against Mississippi state you can tell that he did not have great pocket awareness or knew how to move in the pocket. Max is very good in pocket presence. I do think that Brennan has the better arm. So that’s why I say if Brennans pocket awareness has improved I think he will be the starter

Brennan’s pocket movement and accuracy against pressure scores quite high according to PFF. He’s not a statue - he’s just not a runner. Max is a better scrambler, to be sure, but he has to develop his arm a bit to overtake Brennan. He’s been working his tail off so I wouldn’t be shocked if he pulls it off, but it’ll probably be Brennan’s job to lose.

The standards are high. This is a great problem to have.

Tua, Burrow, Watson, Lawrence, Wilson, Fields. Shall I go on?
Max is less mobile than every QB you just listed.

Max looks dual threat next to Myles and Mac Jones. Compared to actual dual threat QBs he looks like a pocket passer. He has 4.9 40yd speed. Basically just fast enough to outrun the interior DL.

Love Max , but if dude hadnt thrown a shoe across the field this wouldnt even be a debate.

If be willing to put money on it Max would've converted at least 1 3rd downs needed against Mizzou.

Burrow couldnt beat out Dwayne Haskins, a 1st round pick. Brennan couldn’t win the job against air, sine he only had McMillian and Narcisse as his competition in the spring.
