I like this line:
"Do not refer to the University as ULL in any instance."
Because no other self-respecting school that lists the city in its name would ever refer to itself using an abbreviation. Not even UCLA, UTEP, UAB, UCSB, UNCW, etc.

I think people would respect you (UL Lafayette admin/alums/fans) more if you just straight up admitted what you wanted. "Hell yes we want to be UL and we're going to do everything we can to make it happen." Instead of hiding behind "athletics only branding" and other ridiculous lines of bullshite.

Big Difference.. LSU A&M doesn't get anyone's panties in a wad. Feel free to call us that. We know its the official name.
LSU A&M doesn't make LSU any less significant.

Im pretty sure that the minority of our fanbase who cant get over the ULL being referred to as "Louisiana" thing is a lot more butt hurt than actual ULL fans are. What does it matter to you what they call themselves?
Pretty sure I get it though... A lot of LSU fans dont appreciate another school referring to themselves as "Louisiana" and representing the state with that namesake when LSU is obviously the flagship univ in the state. Probably boils down to that more than anything else.

Just because you want something to be true, does not make it so. Where are your 'FACTS' to back that claim up? Since you must've missed my earlier post, here it is again:
"Along with LTU, we are the only school in La that is designated as 'statewide,' which includes higher admission standards....that are very close to lsu's. Everyone else, including ULM, are 'regional' Uni's. "

I don't know if this helps in anyway but I'm a student at LSU and the only time I've ever been to ULL all the people I met looked at me in awe when I told them I went t LSU. (I'm not sitting here pretending it's Harvard) but good god I was unimpressed with those people.

That being said I have hated (in a good way) ULL baseball since the bench clearing brawl in the early 2000s. I get excited every time we play and was pissed that the game last year ended early. I hope we see you next weekend...
