I've never been to the Georgia Dome. Are there a good bit of restaurants/bars nearby? Any recommendations?

For those who are going to the game, how do you plan on spending your Saturday before and after we spank the puppies?

Thanks.

It's really sort of crappy in that regard, actually.

Jocks N Jills is the only place I can remember close to the dome.

There are restaurants on Peachtree near Peachtree Center (@ International)

The Varsity is at North Blvd. and I-75. Nowhere close to the dome.

Dantana's and Taco Mac are at the CNN center. Stats not too far away.

All suck, but will probably be full of drunk folks from both sides, so be drunk with them.

It's not walking distance, but it's close.

The bar/restaurant situation down by the GA DOME does suck. JOCKS N JILLS is no longer down at the CNN CENTER. There is a TACO MAC in its place. As someone mentioned there is a bar called STATS which is in walking distance to the dome on Marietta Street. It's OK, but not great. The better places are in Midtown and Buckhead which is no where near the dome. HTH!

Cool bar on the top floor of Westin Peachtree. Tallest hotel in the universe. Outstanding view. Walking distance to GA Dome.

Midtown

When I went to the UNC game last year, we had lunch in Midtown then just took the MARTA to the Dome. I suggest this. Just leave in plenty of time because the MARTA gets crowded.

If you wanna hang out by the dome, you've basically got a choice of the CNN Center and Taco Mac. Will be a huge crowd. Taco Mac is eh, but it'll be a fun time.

We'll be tailgating all Saturday in the paid lot just south of the Dome. It's called the 'gulch.' We'll be there or 200 yards up from the Gulch atop the 'Hill.'

It is called DANTANNA'S now. I will be there after the game. We always stay at the Omni.
