Please leave Verne alone. He was great. Wish we could bring him out of retirement and become our PBP guy for a couple of years. He understood the phenomenon of TS at night. Chris Blair is a drag.

Gary used to be fine back in the mid 00's before Bama started dominating

Eh, he was just as bad with tebow when he was at UF.
Of course he's going to heap more praise on the better teams, Gary works only SEC games, so he's going to discuss the SEC, and the elite teams are going to get more attention. For the last 15 years, Bama's been dominant, not just in the SEC but nationally too. Now it's UGA.
Danielson is just doing his job. This board's obsession with anything Bama-positive that comes out of Danielson's mouth is infantile.
Danielson is a fantastic analyst. He knows what happened, and why, immediately, and adds tremendous knowledge to the broadcasts.
And he's from the midwest, so he's not a Bama homer. He just does games in a conference where Bama has been dominant for 15 years.
Grow up, people.

first of all, rational thought and common sense are not welcomed on the rant, baw!! B., Gary is an obnoxious over-analyzer with diarrhea of the mouth, and an amazing grasp of the obvious, football isn't a complicated game, look at the majority of lug heads that play and coach it, unfortunately most of the guys in the booth come from that same group, maybe it's complicated to them, just about all of them over do it and seem to think that people are tuning in to hear them more than they are to watch their teams play

Rest of the world realizing how bad Gary is
The issue I have with Gary is that he points out the negatives and not the positives. He does this with every team (minus Alabama).
For example: If a WR catches a 50 yard TD, instead of talking about the great route or the great catch, he will say "The DB got his feet crossed and lost his leverage."
While not technically wrong, it makes it feel like he is cheering against every team. As a viewer of the offense you get the sense that he thinks we just got lucky. When you're on the opposite end of this scenario and its your teams DB that got his feet crossed it feels like he's insinuating that our players suck.
So yes, I agree that he is very knowledgeable but his delivery and how he chooses to frame things is why people hate him.

He will be. I'm sure they will be just as upset when he is busy gargling bama's junk on their broadcast too.

Oh I agree. I think he’s a pretty good analyst. I don’t mind him. He may talk too much about bama and what not but they’ve been the dominant program. Comes with the territory. But sometimes they can over do it. There’s a fine line between giving credit and kissing arse. And there is def analysts out there who are way worse than Gary.

If I did a shot each time I said “Shut up Gary!” during one of his broadcasts I would need to be carried home.

I keep saying it. Y’all gonna miss SEC on CBS when ESPN takes over next year

If a blind person were listening to Daniels call an Alabama game they’d have no idea who the opponent was.

Gary is insightful, just needs to release his mouth from Saban's nutsack...
