But its not something that they are going to do every week like the piped-in music.

They might if they thought people didn't like it. If no one complained, they might think it was hunky-dory and go with it till GH is a bad memory, like the macarena and the WHAAZZUP commercials.

IMO, there's no need to resort to goofy fad-based gimmicks at an LSU football game. People are there for the tradition and to watch football. If they want that kind of stuff, I'm sure there are plenty of minor league baseball games to go to.

What if they'd had a "hammer pants" fashion show in the early 90's? A "best moonwalk" contest in the 80's? a "bring your pet rock to the stadium & get a free mood ring" day in the 70's? No need to gay sh*t, just football, thanks.

Keep it simple.

It you want to try something new, try something OLD first - bring back a tradition instead, like this guy:

Okay, what the hell has happened to these morons running LSU stuff? Seriously? That has to be the most retarded and one of the most embarassing things I've ever heard of.

They're letting the student government do too much for the game.

Keep them out of it.

ok, the MSU thing was funny. Just WOW!

Student government has turned high schoolish for about the past 6 or 7 years. It's become pretty useless and stupid from all the things I've heard.

Seriously, what happened to good leaders with intelligent Non-fad ideas that did things for LSU.

I'm sorry she made a terrible decision to put some idiots out on the field with fake guitars acting like morons. When I make a decision that bad, you can call me an idiot too.

I saw it, thought it was pretty lame, but I don't see any reason to make a big fuss about it. What's wrong with trying to get more students involved in the gameday action at Tiger Stadium?

did you just celebrate a video game tournament while calling somebody you've never seen fat?

isn't that like a world of warcraft fan telling somebody to get a life?

Is it really that big of a deal? The key is to expect that every halftime show will suck so that you will never be disappointed.

We come for tradition.

I've been going to games since 1995. The Tiger Band doing pregame is about the only thing that's the same at the game. You try new things. Some things work, most don't.

Heck, most people on here would die if the band didn't play Neck every other song.

am i the only one who thought it bizarre that a guitar hero contest was decided by them not even playing guitar hero, but by doing air guitar?

as dumb as the "happy birthday to the louisiana lottery" thing in the 90s that got booed off the field

While I was not compelled to write an email complaining, I can say that the Guitar Hero halftime was one of the worst things I have ever witnessed in Tiger Stadium.
Pointless, too long, unfunny, nothing to do with college football or LSU....I could go on.

Whoever came up with this idea and whoever gave the go ahead need to be removed from their current positions.

There is nothing more useless than student government. A bunch of self important arse kissers.
