Highly unlikely, but why risk playing on a wet field for a mid-week game in front of a few hundred people when you can do it in April in front of a packed house?

Im not a fan of the postponement, but it’s a midweek game in Feb that means nothing.

Yes, you are. It wasn't cancelled. It was postponed.

The two teams will still play a home-and-home series this season. Nicholls will now come to the Box on Monday, February 24 and LSU will travel down the bayou to play on Tuesday, April 8.

Likely bc the home team wants as many asses in the seats as possible when a top 3 team comes to town.

That won’t happen with 37° temps and 14 mph N winds.

Sure it didn’t take much for Jay to agree.

Cold weather ,especially mixed with the wind chill can be very detrimental to pitchers' arms. As well, Thibodaux had heavy rains last nite /early morning ...slip & slide in cold weather, the uniform gets wet....again not healthy. And no one has said it was CJJ who initiated the postponement. Nicholls' home field, safe to assume their HC started the conversation.

I'm not understanding why people are complaining. Do you guys want to watch a baseball game in below freezing temps? I highly doubt a coach wants to risk injury in frigid weather either. Just reschedule the game.
