The original Quad design looks so much better than what we have today with Middleton cutting half of it off. The same architect who designed Stanford worked on LSU, however, he passed before our campus was finished.

Yeah, Fonville Winans took a bunch of aerials of LSU campus, including a after the snow storm in 1940.

The Quad was originally designed to resemble a cross. However, as LSU and the state of Louisiana commonly does, they frick things up to a whole new, unparalleled level.
By doing so, they slapped this horrendous, barbaric Russian Gulag right in the middle of the intended cross design known as Middleton Library.

I think many schools screw up their library. My daughter goes to Wash U in St. Louis.
