Police source to WAFB: Main item police looked for during search of LSU QB J Jefferson's apt was a pair of Jefferson's tennis shoes.

Did they cut them into 44 pieces?

I thought he was wearing slippers?

This.

JJ might have gone into the men's room and taken a piss at the same urinal as the Marine. It's not inconceivable that he stepped in some of the Marine's tap dribble and gotten the guy's DNA on his shoe.

Yeah, I know, that's a reach. But we know that both of them were at Shady's. Therefore it can't be placed out of the realm of possibility. weirder stuff has happened.

Only flaw in that is that they most likely did Xrays (unless they were done later, which is doubtful) and would have seen the fractured vert.

It is pretty easy to tell an acute fracture (<2 weeks)on CT, which I'm sure was done. A simple spinous process fracture(which you are speculating is the type of fracture sustained) is a STABLE fracture, but still a broken bone, of the spine. IT alone will not lead to neurologic deficits but it is in the spectrum of injuries most people would consider "serious." Any vertebral body fracture, especially of the cervical spine, is a BIG deal. You also don't sustain one of these getting punched from the front (considered fair aggression).

Shoes that every kid likely owns. Lol. He was at the scene so any blood could be explained.

Also bouncers have said he wasn't doing anything during the fight.

No, some serious spinal injuries, with potential for neurologic compromise, are treated outpatient initially.

Still not something the ER could have treated though I'm pretty sure. ER's are typically equipped for stabilizing people, not providing physical therapy.

Again, don't jump my arse, I'm only offering some thoughts.

It's REALLY starting to look like all of the people praying he is innocent are upset over the lengths the BRPD is going through because they don't want their bubble popped. It would seem like everybody would be happy the BRPD isn't jumping to one conclusion or another without doing their due diligence.

No matter what side you're on (believe it or not I'm actually on the fence), lets wait until the investigation is complete and then bitch about the wasted time and energy of the police department, and we can also point fingers and scream I told you so at that time

Dude, When i was a sophomore, I broke my #3 and #7 as well as screwed up my c spine at both places. Didnt go to the doctor untill the next day. It was sore and didnt want anyone to hit it, But I was back at school the same day and wasnt laid up in bed in a halo for weeks popping l-tabs. shite was so fun i did it again my Sr year but this time I had my number 7 fall on top of my number 8 and I know have one huge Vertebre where 2 once stood. So I say again, Its not that big of a deal

Gotcha, case closed by coonass. Not that big of a deal.

And how did you come about knowing which # vb you broke?

The doctor? X ray?

If it was no big deal you shouldn't have needed medical attention.

You're either full of shite, or really dumb

But that would mean BRPD would have to go after different leads so that would take too much effort. I think they should search the apartment instead

I've been very neutral in all of this, but let me play devil's advocate for just a moment. When people get in car wrecks they get an instant adrenaline dump and some people think they are fine. Treated and released may mean that his injuries weren't treatable by an ER.

So if that's the case, he could still have pretty permanent injuries that will require further treatment, but it's simply nothing that an ER can do for him other than make sure he's stabilized.

People don't get treated and released with serious vertebrae fractures. Car accident victims normally have injuries to the vertebral discs which are not detectable on x-ray and pose no threat to the spinal chord.

Not jumping your arse, just pointing out they would (or should) have seen the fractured verts.

If the players' lawyer is worth as much as his reputation claims, Jefferson has no evidence in his apartment.

Depending how bad the crack was, It could have been over looked. When I did mine the first time, They x-rayed me and sent me home with a "Sprain". 2 days latter my Dr. called me in and said after further review was when he found the crack

Someone reported this the first day (that he walked up in slippers).
How on earth would anyone on here have known he was wearing tennis shoes and they would look for them? Seriously?
