Not to mention, the BRPD is in a tight spot. High profile cases like this are under so much scrutiny. If they don't investigate enough, they are accused of sweeping under the rug. If they investigate too much, they are accused of blowing it out of proportion.
Any mistake they make is amplified. I assume they want to make sure they have crossed all I's and dotted all T's for whatever their next step might be.
Taking 44 bags of evidence seems a little extreme though
Then again after reading the report it could in fact exonerate him, but it could also make them issue an arrest warrant.
They just better get this right.

It may be something totally different.
That's what I'm wondering and why I asked if these guys submitted to drug tests.
Legally speaking, the truth of the matter is that any DNA evidence collected from Jefferson is irrelevant. He's already be placed at the seen. DNA evidence tells us where people are, not what they do.
That's what is really puzzling about this.
The only logical conclusion I can come to is that someone has identified a specific piece of clothing that the kicker was wearing and there are confisicating all of Jefferson's clothing at this point.

your right, But its all they have to cling to. Broken Vertebre are not that big of a deal. Its a little hard to determine if the fight even caused them. It could have already been and the fight just finished it. Its hard bones to break
Another awesome fricking statement by a ranter.
Jesus people, are any of you actually thinking before you post?

What? I dont see it as a life threatening ordeal. Shits sore for a bit and will hurt when it rains. Not attempted murder

At first I was indifferent to somewhat irritated with the players. Now I'm ashamed to live in this backwards retarded place. We are serving search warrants on college kids after a fight while people are shot nearly every day in north br. frick it.

I can certainly see this, but it's their job to find that "middle ground." Well, actually it's the Chief's job. And it certainly appears they're not going to face any "sweep it under the rug" criticism on this case. They've swung the pendelum too far the other way IMO.

To be fair, the news has consistently reported that he was treated and released. Any serious injury to the vertebrae would have resulted in the victim being admitted to the hospital for at least observation.

Yeah, not attempted murder, but more like second degree assault /battery

Nope. For you being so overly opinionated, showing that you have no bias in the discussion (EXTREME SARCASM), and trying to discredit other people who have valid opinions of their own which have more substance than anything you are saying.
Was this answer sufficient enough?

You can't shite like that because apparently they're just doing their job. They're not investigating this any more than they would any other bar fight according to some of the people in this thread.

So what you are saying is you want them to do a tad bit of investigating and then sweep
Awesome bro

I've been very neutral in all of this, but let me play devil's advocate for just a moment. When people get in car wrecks they get an instant adrenaline dump and some people think they are fine. Treated and released may mean that his injuries weren't treatable by an ER.
So if that's the case, he could still have pretty permanent injuries that will require further treatment, but it's simply nothing that an ER can do for him other than make sure he's stabilized.

In most cases they would have been arested and the courts would have to figured it out it's because they are LSU players that it is taking this long. They are giving them every benefit of the doubt now lets just see what happens.
