Alleva will find a way to screw this up and fire the best bball coach LSU has ever had! It's a shame too. He is completely innocent and the administration will simply fold to pressure from the national media.

Of course he's going to make a strong offer to our players. What do you call a full scholarship to the flagship university? That's a strong offer in my book.

Everyone knows Wade cheated. Everyone also knows that every successful college basketball coach has either directly or indirectly found ways to pay players to get them to come and play for their university. No one is that dumb to think it is not the norm.
The problem has always been our pussy administration. They wanted a successful basketball program and they knew what it took to get it there and then they caved like a little school girl when there was a tiny bit of pressure. Pathetic. Support your coach and let it play out. But what did we all expect from the idiots that brought us the O hire...and before that the Miles firing and un-firing? Exactly what we got.

One of those was clearly a joke.
And in either case, he's talking about something he supposedly did with a third party that wasn't involved in any way. So who is to say he wasn't just blowing smoke?
The damning one was the "I can get you what you need, but it's got to work." Which was known about way before he suspended. The recent ones could just be him trying to make himself look like a big shot to one of his buddies.

The offer of a scholarship is tilted more toward the family because it keeps Smart in BR where his family lives. It's more than the NBA rookie minimum because over a lifetime he can earn more with a degree from LSU than if he never goes to college and has the average NBA career Which isn't long and not as lucrative as most people think.

Also,Ambrosia does send over pies and cakes to the athletic dept. for the recruits when visiting campus. They are damn good,but it's not a NCAA violation, other bakeries near other schools will have to try and compete
