It’s what’s best for him honestly and that’s what matters at the end of the day

I cant say I blame him. As a LSU fan I wish he could back and play but thats just for my own selfish reasons.

If this was my child, I would advise him to opt out. Hell look what happened to Delpit draft stock playing this year hurt most of the season. I know Delpit was not able to turn pro last year but he was a consensus 1st round, top 10 projection on draft boards before this past season.

Best of luck in the NFL, JC. TYFYS. I hope the Bengals find a way to draft him to reunite with Burrow!

Where are all the Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson starters opting out?

This is getting ridiculous at this point.

It brings the risk home and you realize it could happen to you.

He has been hearing this from people and agents. Don’t play for a shortened season that could get cancelled. Bad qb play could hurt your stock if Brennan does not play well. The a friend suffers a serious possibly career limiting injury. And you realize it could happen to you and the chatter around you becomes more than just words.

As an LSU fan it sucks, but logically speaking, the only way he isn’t a top 10 pick is if he gets hurt

Timing is really unfortunate

Look guy did amazing things for us. Proud of his accomplishments and he will be drafted highly. He didn’t have anything meat to prove. Biggest issue is him claiming he was playing and he should have honored that statement.

The rumors about Ryan Clark effecting his decision are now true. It's why all the threads were being whacked.

He’s absolutely a legendary player. He broke every LSU single season receiving record there was to break. Was a unanimous first team all american. Won the Biletnikoff and won a national title.

Top 5 or 6-10... it doesn't matter because it depends what a particular team needs. His draft stock is already solidified to be the 1st WR drafted. Best wishes to him.

Unless other guys who are playing show out and move ahead of him. It happens a lot.

Yea, maybe chase was feeling the heat from an under classmen who was impressing the coaches and was scared he wouldn’t start?

So he and his dad convinced us he was coming back. He "wants his name on the inside of the stadium". Switches to #7. Then quits less than a month out, in the middle of working on timing with Brennan in team drills.

I fully support his decision to go. He's beyond ready for it. I will always remember 2019 season.

I just can't get on board with the timing. It's really f'ed up actually. This throws a huge wrench in camp, unless they already knew about it.
