Florida and LSU postponed their scheduled Southeastern Conference football game on Saturday because of Hurricane Matthew, but it appears the schools are trying to find a way to make up the game. Immediately after the postponement there were reports that the game would be canceled and not made up because the two schools couldn't agree on specifics, but Clay Travis of Fox Sports tweeted Monday morning that details may be taking shape.

SEC commissioner Greg Sankey spoke about the game Saturday during the broadcast of the Tennessee-Texas A&M game on CBS, and indicated that he wanted to see the game played. When the matchup was canceled, many speculated that the teams could meet Nov. 19 and buy out South Alabama and Presbyterian for canceling those games, but it appears there may be a solution that saves those games as well.

$10 to a charity of your choice that this doesn't happen. Clay is just looking for clicks.

A&M better be on 11/26 if that happens.

Clay Travis a bigger troll than most of the people on this board.

If we agree to that that would be Alleva signing his resignation papers at LSU..... Or it should be.

At the very least to make that happen is to have A&M moved to Saturday.

I misread it, but I'm skeptical that happens.

Hard to see that happening. South Alabama and Presbyterian have conference games scheduled for those weeks, so to pull it off, you'd have to move games involving a few schools who have nothing to do with LSU or Florida.

Actually yea. People run twitter analytics and can see engagement rates. This can be used for any number of things related to money.
ETA they can use that info to get deals with advertisers, their company may require a certain engagement rate on tweets, a certain number of views, etc etc.

Ryan Nanni (@celebrityhottub): “Here’s the secret: Florida’s intentionally skipping the rest of their games and then how can the committee leave out a 1 loss SEC team.”
Danielson pointed out the obvious safety issue of 3 SEC road games in 12 days. He also pointed out that roster attrition due to injuries and schedule is always a factor in SEC divisional races. It is far too early to tell if either 2-loss LSU or 1-loss FLA end up in divisional contention. If so the game will have to be played, regardless of 6-10 million in costs to the SEC. Until then we have 1 less hard-hitting game before the gauntlet of OM, ALA, & ARK - 0-3, last yr, 2-7 last 3 yrs. The cost and contingencies are summarized well in this article: LINK
