And playing a song before a game isn't the entire representation of a state. I don't categorize myself with every dumb frick in the state because I represent myself. The fact that you think a pregame song reflects the way YOU look makes me feel bad for you, as you don't have much going on with your pathetic little life.
no you dumb bastard. It reflects the way LSU looks to the rest of the nation. I don't see how you can't possibly see that the times when LSU is on national TV is pretty much what people see of LSU across the country. In some and many cases, it is the only thing people see of LSU across the country.
Additionally, it's the song that's playing RIGHT as the broadcast begins. What do they say about first impressions? "LSU doesn't have enough of their own songs that they have to play this garbage?" "wait, I thought Louisiana was supposed to have good music?"
You know, I bet that recruits nationwide hear "Calling Baton Rouge" and think, "Hey, that drunk dude and girl look like they're having fun, I want to go and be a part of that!"
You are naive. And ignorant.
And despite the fact that I gave you four paragraph's worth of things that you could have lobbied a coherent logical argument against, you chose to say absolutely nothing. Save attacking me. Way to go.
congratulations.

Nomatter where you are from, if someone doesn't like you they can find something that they think is wrong with your state, and all the faults I've heard about Louisiana, this is the first time a pre game song has been a statewide image downfall... I'll leave this one alone because obviously this is going nowhere but feel free to keep talking shite for the amusement of others and a little self empowerment for yourself... Because it seems you need all you can get
As much as I like Calling Baton Rouge and Louisiana Saturday Night...
Karma is owning you in this thread

Sweet Home Alabama was a top 10 hit in the country. Is actually
about the state of Alabama. And is sung by one of the most popular bands to ever grace the region.
if the songs was about fricking a girl in alabama on the way through town it might be for them.
And here's the other thing.
I could really give a frick what Alabama does.

Big wheels keep on turning
Carry me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss Alabamy once again
And I think its a sin, yes
Well I heard mister Young sing about her
Well, I heard ole Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man don't need him around anyhow
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
In Birmingham they love the governor
Now we all did what we could do
Now Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you?
Tell the truth
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
Here I come Alabama
Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers
And they've been known to pick a song or two
Lord they get me off so much
They pick me up when I'm feeling blue
Now how about you?
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
Sweet home Alabama
Oh sweet home baby
Where the skies are so blue
And the governor's true
Sweet Home Alabama
Lordy
Lord, I'm coming home to you
Yea, yea Montgomery's got the answer
