I was never opposed to adding different songs to the list, I just don't see the point in taking something away from the fans that many enjoy. The stadium starts filling up well before these songs start playing I don't see why they don't play a lot more music durring that time

actually from the looks of this thread, it is one of the most hated abominations of what you might call a "tradition" and it's only 3 years old.

horseshite. I started LSU in 2002 and they played it that year as well. They even play the song at baseball games. And to deem the song hated when only about 2% of TS is on Tigerdroppings is insane. Most students and fans enjoy the song. You can tell when they sing it. Here is the one reason why we should NOT quit the song... THE FU%KIN LADIES LOVE THAT SH^T! WHAT IS BETTER THAN SEEING THE WOMEN GO NUTS OVER THAT SONG.Make them happy at the games, and they will make you happy when you get home or back to the car while waiting to leave

My write in choice would be Amos Moses by Jerry Reed, especially when Florida visits Death Valley.

Don't forget "Leaving Louisiana"

Any song that has lyrics like "She never woulda done it if she hadn't got drunk" is completely appropriate for Louisiana and Tiger Stadium.

Tell her you are visiting a friend and not from Baton Rouge, and suggest you guys make a moment after the game so he can have the opportunity to "call baton rouge"... works everytime

If I had tried before, I'm sure it might work

All in favor, say "aye."

I'm all for that. That Garth Brooks shite is tired and old.

While they're at it, let's hope they come up with a better pre-game video than last year. It was the worst one in recent memory.

im not reading the full 12 pages, and dont know if this has been mentioned, but part of the allure of Calling Baton Rouge is the introduction with the fiddle. It really sets the crowd off when they hear that, the same way the fight song does

who cares what the meaning is, or if it is "hick". if u like it, you like it, and most of the fans seem to

I absolutely despise 80s music, but I know all the fratsters enjoy living on a prayer, so I just let them have their fun. That song is even less relevent.

At least Garth has come to LSU and played multiple sold out concerts

Judging by the voting, it doesn't appear that most people do like it.
