Eli did do that but only because his center got pushed into next week and stepped on his foot

Chad Lavalais pushed the center's shite in so bad the center stepped on Eli's foot. Eli just didn't fall. What a bunch of bullshite LSU fans think Eli just fell over on his own.

And all we needed was Chad L.
I remember watching that game with Ole Miss people. They were dumbfounded.

Is that SEC West Co-Champ banner from that year still up in their stadium?

Loved it! Eli could be heard yelling...Daddy, Daddy, I fell down and I can't get up...

Didn’t they put out a DVD of that season in celebration

Remember that time they actually hung a banner of winning the west on 2003 and they didn’t even win it??
Such a fricking pathetic fan base. That’s worse than UCF claiming that natty a few years back

Closest they will sniff the SECCG, probably won’t get there with LK as HC.

Even if he does NOT fall they are not beating us, they had scored 7 points total on our D the whole game the other TD was a pick 6 in end zone. You have to assume they make that first down AND then drive the whole field, was not going to happen.

Agreed. The LSU D was definitely not going to allow Old Mrs. to win that game. Let ‘em hang their banner, because in looking at SECCG history I see zero appearances by Old Mrs., and that will remain the case IMO.

You can see even if he had not got stepped on by his center he would have been sacked…

Notice in the picture with “the banner” the closest to that was from 1963, so I guess that 40 years was just too long to wait for a “championship banner”. Frick Ole Piss!

It doesn’t make the play and my memory of it any less enjoyable.

Was sitting in a bar in Houston airport when that play happened. I could have flapped my arms to get me where I was going after watching the turf give birth to flopping Eli.

I was at that game. Great atmosphere. That was probably the biggest game ever played in Oxford considering what was at stake. I think the Ole Miss people would agree with that.
