If Harris could read defenses, the physical tools were there.
I sat in Tiger Stadium and WR's would come open but Harris was staring down his first target and never saw them.

Harris had all the physical tools you look for in a QB. But yea, not only couldn't he read a defense, he couldn't complete simple passes with accuracy. The same muscle memory that makes 3 point shooters great in the NBA, or MLB pitchers accurate in baseball...It just never clicked as far as an accurate, repeatable throw.

No, you provided data points. Statistics is analysis.

Confounding variables and small sample size means that you are like a drunk leaning against a light pole.

Yes. So what.

Is there a point to bringing this up?

Hey - thankfully a group of people voted on us to go to a better bowl this year with the same results... they must have not noticed that we technically finished 3rd in the west and no better than 4th in the SEC.

Yea baw, because every season is the same. You are sounding about as stupid as Rickdaddy and Co now.

You do realize that six SEC teams finished in the top 16, right?

You have to wonder what bowl we would have gotten this year if A&M has blown us out the way Ole Miss and Arkansas did in 2015.

Or maybe you forgot those games.

Remember that time where patrick mahomes faced lsu's defense and brandon harris faced texas techs weak arse defense. If they switch teams game wouldn't have even been close.

This. All day long.

Watching the highlights from that game and Mahomes was clearly the better QB. The plays he had to make while running for his life against a great D were amazing.

This thread reminds me of the stupid NFL idiots this year that say Mahomes LOST those games in KC where the offense scored more than 30 points but the D gave up 40. So ignorant and short sighted.

wow, I remember that game differently. I was very impressed with Mahomes, and he was a freshman I believe. Great arm and mobility, and he made some very good plays in that game.

I remember thinking that I should keep an eye on him as he moved through his career, because I thought he could be very, very good.

Was at that Texas bowl...I remember thinking...shite we might have a game if they can't lock this guy up... He made some elusive plays and made a few things happen against our defense.... but Fournette could not be stopped. Game was over by the third quarter

I was at that game that night and came away impressed with PM and would have traded him for BH in a heartbeat.

I would have traded just about anything with a pulse for BH.

I think the purpose was to show you don’t hold your hat on an offensive performance against a terrible defense in a bow game

Do you think Miles and Cameron could have utilized Mahomes in their offense?
Mahomes might be coaching high school ball somewhere right now.

Yes, I know this isn't popular opinion, but they used Harris right as well. He's just innaccurate. shite, he doesn't over throw his TE for a pick to the goal line against bama, we are up on them instead of falling further behind.

You forget they had a QB start in the NFL.

technically correct, but we only led 28-20 late third quarter with Tx Tech driving in our red zone, and the game was statistically even at that point.

But then they threw an INT in the red zone, and we drove for a TD and pulled away in the 4th quarter.

Let's also not forget that Harris basically just had to show up for that game hand the ball off to Fournette and not frick up....that was his job.

Mahomes was the Texas Tech offense.

to be fair, the game wasn't close with Brandon Harris playing QB for LSU. Texas Tech lost that game by 29

Not to mention, Mahomes looked like the best player on the field outside Fournette in that game. He was running for his life the entire game and kept making circus throws. At the time, I thought it was just luck, but obviously we have come to find out he's an incredible player.

That's pretty obvious. But you were trying to stir the pot with your stats. Fortunately you've been put in your place.
