My mind can't fathom what Leonard Fournette would look like in this MFer. No offense to Jones, of course.

I have no desire whatsoever now to criticize Les. None. But with the OP, there's hardly a game that goes by where we play aggressive on offense that there's this fleeting thought of 'what would Les's record be had he played like this?'

True. As good as those years were, Les could have gone out as an all-time great.

I won’t reference any specific coach or team; I will say that it’s nice watching LSU and feeling like I did back in the Brees glory days where if there was still time on the clock down a possession or less, I believed we could win.

Lane wouldn’t have 2 losses in 2007

Lane wouldn’t get shut out in the 2011 NC

Les’ achievements begin and end with the cupboard Saban left him and Louisiana talent that underachieved under him (but thrived once they got to the NFL)

His side of the ball (offense) was an archaic disaster that would have gotten him fired if not for the greatness of the side he wasn’t involved with. You can’t say the same of Kiffin. He runs offenses in the same manner Saban runs defenses

We’ll see what’s in store for Kiffin but time will continue being unkind to Les

Yeah 3 yards and a cloud of dust with a toss to the short side of the field thrown in for good measure.

Why? He was an average coach that was carried by talent who eventually went full retard with Jordan Jefferson. The dude had a lucky rabbit’s foot shoved firmly up his butt hole for years, and it eventually wore out.

A Les Miles running game against most of the SEC was a thing of beauty. He would just beat the hell out of the defense with the power run game. Against the top defenses in the league it sucked and he looked like a moron with no adjustments.

Les took a lot more chances than many of you want to remember and he had his teams winning. Maybe not winning the way you wanted to see but LSU was rarely out of a game when Les was coach. No one is lucky for that long.
