Don't want a rematch, Bama would have big advantage just like Ole Miss did back a million yrs ago when LSU played them twice the same year. If these teams play 10 times,LSU wins 5 times. I want to see Stanford & LSU if things go accordingly. Hoping we go 14 & 0 , again fantastic Win !!!!

I say no simply because both teams knew this game was basically for a trip to the championship going in, both teams played their best game, and there was no controversy. Looking at SOS, I think they deserve it if they win out, but BCS isn't about who deserves what, it's about money. So whichever team (alabama) the BCS would make the most cash off of will make it.

This biggest issues for the NC game (should lsu be in that game) is 1) whether lsu can beat its opponent, and 2) whether it will be a good game. In regards to Bama, No. 1 and 2 have been answered "yes" and "yes". For all the other high ranking teams, both issues are unresolved. IMO, No. 1 question is the most important.

No rematch. too many national talking heads are now suggesting lsu and their "poor offense" would have trouble hanging with osu or stanford.

i don't understand how every year after championship games everybody, in hindsight, repeats the mantra, "defense wins championships", but, come next season all of the simpletons are wowed by high octane offense.

Sure thing.

No problem beating them 3 times in a row and twice in one season.

Who have they beaten besides ARK? Penn State?

That's the way I see it. No rematch. LSU and Alabama are just as good as each other. A national championship team has some breaks go their way. It happened for LSU to beat Alabama at home. They should deserve to not have to play Alabama again.

Well the answer is not easy and as much as I hat to say it. The answer is yes. But only if okie st and Stanford lose.

This is correct. As much as it would suck to have to play an extra game while Bama waits if OSU and Stanford lose, the rules currently don't make an exception for a team that doesn't win its conference. There is also no rule about excluding a rematch. Whether there should or shouldn't is irrelevant for this discussion.

The goal of the BCS is to get the two best teams in the BCSCG at the end of the year. As much as it would suck as an LSU fan, if Bama is #2, they deserve to play in the BCSCG.

"We are still the best team in the country," Alabama wide receiver Marquis Maze said. "If we played them again, we wouldn't lose."

Maze's fellow wide receiver, Darius Hanks, said: "Alabama is still the better team."

Dont think so LOSERS!!!

Why should we have to beat them TWICE to win the BCS?
If they win the next game, they would surely claim the championship, despite losing at home.
Hell, they may claim it anyway. They are very good at that and the T shirts are likely being printed now.

who said they are the 2nd best? have they played stanford or Okie State to prove they are? They lost at home.

I would'nt mind a rematch because i think our speed would show up more on turf than grass ask oregan but ultimatly i think we play OKie St because OU lost there best WR and its at stillwater.

Yeah, I hated to hear all the comments from the Bama players about how LSU wasn't nearly as good as them and they are no doubt the best team in the nation.

That just shows the type of sore loser trash that Saban is cultivating on the team.

When it comes to a rematch, I'm against it. While I may believe that Bama is a better team than Okie Light and Stanford..........and is not even comparable to Boise or Houston........at the same time, our boys fought an epic battle against a great team. Can they beat them again, sure, but it just wouldn't be right for us to have gone into Bryant-Denny and won, win out, then win the SEC while Bama sits home, and then have to play, and possibly lose to Bama in the NCG. Can't wrap my mind around the fairness of that.

Gumps I know are trying to compare it to LSU, for example, beating Florida or Tennessee and then having to play them again for the SEC Championship game, but in my opinion, that is totally different.
