I know these are just projections, but Kendall Rodgers seems to have a bias towards Florida. The Gators lost two series (at home, no less) to LSU and Arkansas, yet they are a national seed over the Tigers.

If a 35-10 overall record, tie for the SEC lead, and a three game lead in the SEC west isn't enough to merit a national seed, I'm not sure what is.

Purdue as a national seed is a fricking joke. They haven't played a top 25 team all year.

Would they really even host with a 1000 seat field?

Purdue can host if UCLA can host. Stadiums don't matter.

UCLA = 2600 capacity
Purdue = 1100 capacity

Purdue, if I'm not mistaken, hasn't played a ranked team this year.

This is where the problem lies. Our Boilermakers are playing well enough to be a no. 1 seed in a regional and, according to some, well enough to be a National seed. Unfortunately, we do not have a host-worthy facility. I have discussed this extensively with Purdue's baseball SID via Twitter, and unfortunately the new Alexander Field, which was supposed to be already finished, will not be complete and ready in time to host a regional (the first weekend of June). The delays could end up costing our baseball program dearly. All is not lost, however. As our baseball SID has told me, it is up to Morgan Burke and other administrators to find a solution. I have been told that Loeb Stadium in Lafayette is definitely out, but there are other possibilities:

That link is 2 weeks old, Purdue is bidding a minor (independent league) stadium in Gary, Indiana (according to one of the regional projections that came out last week)

The RPI thing will take care of itself. We just need to take 2/3 final series & we'll be a top 8.

Then what is his excuse for Rice and Oregon? He picks and chooses stats based on how he wants it. No one is going to have a perfect resume, you can always find some stat where one team is ahead of another. But LSU clearly has a stronger resume than those teams.

also LSU has a higher RPI than Stanford anyway.

Only thing he said about Florida was that LSU needs to schedule tougher non conference.

Kendall Rogers continues to be a joke. We're top 8 in every single RPI poll out there and top 5 in every poll but he refuses to put us as a top 8 nationals eed. Rice at the 4 seed? LOL, what? Refuses to take Florida out of the top 8 regardless of how many series they lose. 3 of the last 5 just isn't gonna do it for him

If Florida goes at least 18-12 in the league, I would be very surprised if they don't get a national seed. I just can't see them passing over a team with that high of a RPI and that many top 50 wins.

Fwiw this is a very good link of some of the things the committee looks at. Our record against the top 50 or 100 is the biggest thing holding us back compared to others right now IMO.
