Regional Host Chances?

Someone that isn’t pissed off please update us on our realistic chances of getting to host a Regional.

They would probably have to run the table in the tournament now to host one, but I'm just taking a guess.

Honestly, I think if we won last night we would have about a 65-70% chance to host...now I think we need to win 2 more in the tourney to get back to that point...and we need A&M to lose today

Realistically we need to make the Semifinals to get "on the bubble." That may not even be enough because of how other games could go.

Lol what? We are already more than on the bubble. Losing to # 4 in the country didn’t change that.

We are currently on the bubble most projections have us at #17

RPI is 21. No SEC Team has ever hosted with an RPI of 20 or below.

I think it’s roughly the same chances as before the game last night. I don’t think losing to the number 4 team in the country hurts you that bad. Believe you have to beat Auburn today.

I'm not sure where some of y'all are getting your info from.
We had some things go our way (TAMU losing), but also some things that hurt us at the same time(UNC, Baylor winning and our instate losses losing).
If we win against Auburn, I think that will put us in as a lock, no matter what happens with any game after that. If we lose, I'd give us a 50/50 shot, but it'll be out of our hands.

<30%. Their fate was sealed based on how they finished the last three series at 4-5 with one of those being a series of loss to Ole Miss at home. Yes, those mid week losses are really hard because 40+ the wins looks a heck of a lot different than 37. This team is not hosting a regional.

I don't disagree, but I'll just say a loss to MSU or Vandy won't hurt our RPI enough to effect us. We did move down 1 spot from yesterday, only because UNC won and moved up 3 spots. A win against those guys would just be lagniappe. It's a pretty fluid situation at this point, and really it might be out of our hands if the other teams perform.

I hope the committee thinks a 5th overall finish in the SEC is host-worthy, especially when the top 4 are all top 8 seeds.

Depends on what we do the remainder of the tournament. We only beat a shitty South Carolina team so we havent helped our cause much if it all so far.
A win over Auburn giving us 2 tournament wins and an A&M loss today would probably give us a 50-50 chance at hosting.
A loss today and those chances go down a lot.
