You currently are wrong. You don’t have to hope anymore. It’s been realized,

When did I say he wasn’t mediocre?

Bc I have seen how highly recruited/drafted pitchers out of highschool perform, and Schmidt isn’t even close to being mediocre by any metric. He could have gone to ULL and maybe been a little better. Maybe he’ll develop by 2030

For about 5 pages you were bitching about the fact that he wasn't Aaron Nola.
Yes, being from Baton Rouge and posting on a Baton Rouge, LSU message board, I was comparing him to someone he went to the same high school and college as, who was also drafted out of highschool, and as previously said, went to the same college, and performed exponentially better than William Schmidt over said timeline, therefore marking William Schmidt as “overrated”

I’m sorry, William Schmidt is mediocre

He still could transfer to ULL and upgrade his draft stock for next year, although highly doubtful his super sick spin rate will get him higher than he was drafted out of high school if it can’t fool amateurs

Not being able to comprehend that potential draft position and collegiate recruiting rankings aren’t necessarily measurements of whether a player is expected to hit the ground running or could instead be representative of long term developmental potential when determining expectations is huge red flag.

Chalk it up however you want, I would expect a first round draft pick to be a little better than amateur college pitchers who weren’t drafted and will never be drafted to the mlb much less the first round

Probably the best third starter in the SEC has a decent season in his first year of real action.

wtf am I wrong ab? He was an average pitcher in a league comprised of amateur pitchers who will never play professional baseball. Why didn’t they say Schmidt was going to be mediocre until he was 28 years old? They said he was a first round pick foregoing the mlb to play at lsu, and by all metrics, he’s not even kind of special compared to other lsu pitchers. Maybe one day tho!

I hope for your sake that you’re drunk or otherwise in an altered state.
Because if this is how you think and process information sober, I’m fearful for your safety and for those around you.
