We're still a top ten team, and at worst we'll make a respectable bowl.

Either way, I have very few complaints. The team did everything it could, with everyone doing the best they could on playcalling, execution and planning. It's tough, but we'll get past it and have a great year.

You are being way too kind. The execution on defense was just atrocious, not sure what game you were watching.

This...

The most confused defense I think I have ever witnessed. It was just a 100% cluster. What amazed me was some of the guys looking around waving hands/pointing fingers on the myriad busted plays. It just looked very uncool...

One thing I haven't seen much mention of is that the margin of victory was a 55 yard FG that would have been good from 60+. A career long kick that the kid just flat out nailed. They just didn't make any mistakes, outside of their pass defense just not being very good.

I was concerned about the D coming into the game, but didn't imagine they would play that bad. On the other hand I was equally surprised by how great the offense played.

It was a great game that could have gone either way, I'd make the trip again in a heart beat!

It was very bad, but I remember some very bad defenses in the Malveto and Tepper days. Also Georgia's D looked just as confused, there were multiple times they left one of our guys uncovered or got in position right before the ball was snapped.

Our offense played lights out. Any time your running game gets shut down and your offense continues to produce, you've got something really, really special.

I wouldn't consider a running game getting shutdown a really really special something or an offense playing lights out

I don't think anyone could have predicted the massive exodus of Juniors from our D.

True, but there have got to be some players we could have had waiting their turn. At least 100 high schools in Louisiana have a better defense than LSU. Why in hell did LSU waste scholarships on the garbage we have on D right now? Hell, save the money and just concede a TD on every opponent's possession. Same result, just costs less.

You have never seen anything this bad. No one has. It has never existed.

Good post. I'm not reading any of the other ones in this thread. LSU was a 3 point UD on the road and lost by 3.
They are who we thought they were.

This. It was rational and took some critical thinking skills. This is like the unicorn of rant posts.

what I saw was frustration being expressed because they knew they were blowing assignments and knew better. also just because they didn't make the play.

maybe this means they can get better.
