Ok the guy didnt play at all in the first game, hes clearly talented enough to play so why didnt he? If hes not gunna play i would just red shirt him so he has 2 years to start qb.

Were not going to redshirt Sheppard. Maybe they just didn't play him because we might have had a different game plan. Also, we don't want to show the SEC what we have just yet. In given time, he will play. It was just the first game of the season and not enough footballs to go around.

Hopefully Les doesn't bring Shep out till Florida. That way

a) all the teams before Florida will waste time preparing for a Shep that they won't face
b) when Florida comes they won't know what to expect.

I don't know much about coaching, but I'd bet a least a little time was spent studying him by UW's coaches. Even if Les can make them waste just a half hour - its a wasted half hour.

Its all part of Les's grand program of disinformation...

Why would you redshirt one of your best LBs?

I disagree IMO.

The same point in keeping the play calling conservative. We gotta go all out against UF if we're going to beat them. If we've got lots of plays that Florida hasn't had the chance to study - all the better. The Les they know about us before we play them the better.

Lack of offense will NOT be the reason we lose to Florida.

Many of you say that Les doesn't do a good job utilizing all the weapons and getting the ball in the hands of his playmakers. This is just another example, except he couldn't even figure out when or how to get him on the field.

Maybe so but we certainly can't expect to win without one.

so we're going to be holding back on the road against a UGA team that put up 100 points on us last year?

I'm sure that depends on how much we need to pull out to beat UGA. If its everything - then I'm sure we'll see everything.

With the 20 hour rule that's 2.5% of one week of practice.

Using coach's math, that reduces the amount of useful practice time from 110% to about 107%.

Lets say hypothetically Shep doesn't play at all this year. Are you telling me its not a positive in our favor to keep our opposition thinking we might play him?
