Often repeated by idiots. That is not the definition of insanity.

THIS is your mistake! It can, and it is - all except QB. We have a very good QB (not great), but every olinemen, WR, and RB is either a Sunbelt level talent or very young.

Go look at the recruiting rankings. Our average defensive recruit is way higher ranked than our average offensive recruit.

There is a philosophic principle that explains what you, and many others, are doing as you search for complex explanations around scheme. It’s called “Occam’s Razor”. It is an aphorism that advises us not to search for complex reasons when a simple reason will suffice.

Surely there are better offensive coordinators out there - and I’m not saying we should not go get one - but Ensminger is at least an average OC, and with offensive talent that matched our defensive talent, he would have an above average offense. And we don’t

You can blame a lot of the problems on the coaches but the missed assignments, not knowing who to block so just don't block anyone, the dropped passes, can't be put on the coaches. If you don't know the playbook by the 10th game of the season that's on you. It's a total lack of discipline. The allowing of RBs to develop bad habits is on the coaches for not addressing it.

I hope you just mean on offense, because the rest of the college football world is not ahead of LSU. Actually there’s only about 5 teams right now that are doing better

You blame coaches for WRs dropping passes? Go change your tampon.

They were all calling for Sullivan, Ensminger, etc. to be fired last night for the WR dropping balls.

Yet, we are 9-2 with an excellent chance to get a 10-2 NY Six Bowl game. The offense is indeed sputtering, and I am disappointed with Coach E’s philosophy and execution beacause I thought that he would design a combination of the Saints and Seahawks. However, the OP is again focusing on all bad Without the good. We have deficiencies on the OL execution and talent at RB. I would like to see a change at OC, but proud of what this team has accomplished this year.

You are acting like O hasn't made changes each of the 2 offseasons hes been HC. So far we are 9-2 with a special season still in hand. Let's get to the bowl break and offseason and see what changes get made and then make judgement. The amount of negativity you guys have in the midst of a very good season is ridiculous. Criticism is ok but some of the comments here would make you think we are talking about a 6 or 7 win team spiraling down the toilet

If yoou are satisfied with 9 to 10 win season each year, keep the current coaching staff.

If you dont think this season has been successful overall and that a special season is still in sight with a NY6 bowl then you are a pretty crappy fan. Obviously there is work to do this offseason and in the bowl break to get this offense heading in a better direction but that shouldn't negate the good that this team and staff have achieved.

A 10 win season is a successful season. To try to say otherwise and take that away from this team is bullcrap and shows just how crappy some of the "fans" on this board are.there is plenty of work left on offense but stop complaining for 2 seconds and enjoy being in the midst of a 10 or 11 win season for the first time since 2013

That’s exactly my point. Sure, occasional drops or missed blocks will happen. That’s football. But when it is chronic and season long, that’s coaching.

WR: Talented but young (lot of drops this year)

Way too many drops. Yeah, we recruit some 6'6", 215lb athletic studs, but I'd settle for a 6'1", 195-pounder who can catch the fricking ball.

Before the season started fans and media pointed to the lack of returning starters and the overall talent on the offensive line as the reason LSU wouldn’t win more than seven games and finish fifth in the SEC West. Not only was the offensive line lacking talent and experience but then injuries started happening. Yet here they are going in to the last game of the regular season with the chance to win Ten games. We all know the offense has to get better, and to criticize not only some of the play calling but also the individual performance is fair. To harp on it excessively and place the blame solely on one specific area (coaching) is tiresome and over the top.
I wouldn’t oppose a new offensive coordinator especially if it was someone like a Briles, but lots of the issues will be fixed with the current recruiting and just over all experience and development.

So long as they do so while almost the entirety of college football programs are ranked behind us, I’m not sure what you point is.

I was telling a little boy last night if we would have had the running back play last night that we have committed for next year them 5 yard runs would turn into 8 to 10 yard runs. Add that to the drop passes we have had this year the offensive numbers would look a lot different even with a patchwork offensive line
