I have only one suggestion for Mr. Blair. Since you are going to be saying Coach Orgeron's name frequently, Have someone teach you the proper pronunciation of his name.

It sure makes a difference now that we're moving the ball on offense with exciting plays. It's letting him add excitement and detail. I still miss Jim.

Its cliché after cliché hoping something sticks

You really are quite stupid.

I've been primarily a radio broadcaster for almost 30 years. Chris Blair is very very good and a real professional. Not even close to being terrible or fake. He's learning our team, state and traditions since he didn't grow up being an LSU "fan" something I'm not sure you are.

BLair sounded pretty good from what I've heard. He will get that emotion and spark 8n his broad casts eventually. It's his first year man. He will improve no doubt. Give the man a shot. He does sound very professional though

Disagree. For his first year, think he's getting into the flow and spirit of LSU. Don't think there's anything fake in his excitement. He'll only get better as the years go by. You think Jim H had his 'Holy Cow' down pat his first year? Give the guy a chance. Of course, if you could do better...step right up!

I like Chris Blair and think he's off to a good start. I thought he steadily improved during baseball season. Obviously it's going to take a while for him to really settle in and truly become the voice of the tigers.

To be honest, I would prefer if he fully described the play as it was happening. "Etling under center, Guice single back, two to the far side, one to the near side, Dupre in motion, snap , Etling drops back, etc...."

His calls are somewhat delayed and lack detail a majority of the time.

Pretty sure he does all of those things.

I haven't heard much but he has a built in delay when calling the game. For example...he is at the 30, the 20, (Just crossed goal line), the 10, he scores. on the 80 yd Chark TD he should have said he is gone at about midfield...also when Guice broke his.

One of the first things you're taught not to do as a broadcaster is call the play before it happens. As much as I loved Jim, he was AWFUL at this.

"There's nobody gonna catch him!...No he's pulled down from behind at the 5 yard line!"

It got to the point where any time he said nobody was gonna catch him I'd Expect there to be a tackle made. I appreciate Chris for not doing that. And I think the "built in delay"--saying 15...10...5 after the guy has already scored--is just a style. Ron Franklin did the same thing and he's still the best TV broadcaster I've ever heard.

This. He again makes listening to LSU games on the radio an enjoyable experience. Hawthorn made it miserable, particularly when things weren't going the Tigers' way. Now if we can just find some way to make Doug Moreau shut up.
