Won with Saban talent first 3 years Fluke 2011 year but typical Less ending Downhill ever since We are ole miss now except that can beat BAMA

Was discussing this last night. 2011 wasn't so much a fluke as it was 1 person, Tyrann Mathieu. Take what he did off that team and we have at least 3 losses, Oregon, Arkansas, and Georgia. He turned those games around with forced turnovers and punt returns.

Actually Saban DID win with Dinardo's talent. The roster wasn't that bad, Dinadro/Tepper were just that bad.

Well, to be fair, yes, TM was the man.

But, the 1 person you are looking to name is Chavis.

That defense carried us. Our offense had a LOT of leeway that season.

Constantly got great field position. And, when we gave up shite field position, we didn't pay for it very often.

Saban's tenure at lsu= 16 losses 12 conf losses in a worse sec than now Miles' last 5 years= 15 losses 12 conf losses.

This is just stupid.

LSU was 4-7 and then 2-8 in the two years prior to Saban's arrival.

You know you're comparing apples to oranges. You're just being retarded.

But yeah.

He's so amazing that despite getting a running start by taking over a team that was a year removed from an NC, two SEC titles in the preceding 4 years, and multiple top 3 recruiting classes that he's less than a whopping 3% winning percentages higher than his predecessor that took over a team that was coming off a 4-7 and 3-8 seasons.

Not to mention that same predecessor won as many SEC titles and National titles as Les in 5 years.

Les isn't a bad coach. He was a decent coach that has been bad for several years now. He is as much a product of the talent handed him than his actual coaching ability.

I also love that Lesphiles will shite on what a Saban and DiNardo did yet turn around and say the only reason OSU is where they are at now is because of les.

He's not the worst coach in the world, hut I love comparing the luck needed to win the NC with two losses to unranked teams as the same luck Saban had in 2013 and his time at Bama.

But Miles is the most successful coach at LSU. You can admit it...it's ok

And therefore....
What's your point?

He succeeded in spite of the glaring flaws that have now made us mediocre.

this point, any individual that is still defending Les is NOT an LSU fan - they're a Les fan, and that's it. They were and are doing as much to hurt the current status and future of LSU football program now than Les is so obviously doing himself.

Anyone still shitting on Miles' accomplishments at lsu hates miles more than they love lsu.

Im on board with making a change at head coach. I will not sit by and let lsu fans shite on the last 11 years like they havent been amazing. I would be stating facts about out lastv11 years regardless of coach

I know people don't like to hear stuff like that but it really is remarkable how much difference he made to that team.
Could say the same thing about Fournette last year.

Louisiana has produced some supreme talent in the past 5 or 6 years and Les has done squat with it.

Please explai the math youre using where top 15 out of 126 is mediocre.

Were we mediocre when Miles took over?

Saban's tenure at lsu = 16 losses 12 conf losses

The last 5 years under Miles= 15 losses 12 conf.

Either we were mediocre when Miles got here or we arent mediocre now.

They haven't been anything close to amazing. You are "amazed" that LSU won a national championship once in the past decade? Were you alive in 2004?

So saban won with Dinardo's talent?

Are you suggesting that Saban can't win with his recruits?

What did Dinardo do with his talent? They were a bunch of underachievers, similar to Miles'.

Dinardo had three HS All American Quarterbacks on the roster and they performed similar to Miles QB recruits. Once Saban and Jimbo got control they performed like All SEC Quarterbacks.

yes, we know

my only issue is the vitriol towards Miles career as a whole and the reluctance to give him any praise

No, what I'm saying is that in Sabans most successful year here, many of his key players were recruited by Dinardo.

Same with Miles' best year here having many key players recruited by Saban

Most of which had very little develop time under Saban.
I think a big part was Jimbo and Pelini allowing a seamless transition, not the Saban recruit narrative.
Once the Wiz worked his magic in, the O was screwed.
Krags did a fair job repairing the damage, but LSU is in a QB lull since 2013.
LSU needs 60%+ and good decisions from QB.
An OL coach that can teach tech on twists and stunts would go a long way toward helping QB.
