I love when people panic about losing players they weren’t sure would be good before the season. BTJ was unproven and a lot of people wanted Daniels benched.

Other guys will step up.

If LSU makes the 12-team playoff with their schedule they will be very well tested. Which could serve them well in that playoff

Kelly has a 10 year contract, if we aren't realistically competitive 1/3 of the way through that contract, that's a problem.
I have no doubt in year 5 there will be the same excuses on this board for why LSU isn’t realistically competing for National Championships.

It sucks because LSU should no doubt be pulling in top 5 recruiting classes and ending the season no less than top 10-12.

If we get past USC and UCLA, 10 - 2.

Nuss is good. The offense will be fine. The defense can’t be worse.

I see 7-10 regular season wins currently when looking at the schedule, the poor defensive performance in 2023 and understanding there will be a period of the transition from Daniels to Nuss with the loss of Nabors and Thomas.

Potential losses USC, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Bama and A&M.

8-4 seems realistic to me. Huge drops on O. Better on D equals 4 loses.

You are not allowing for player development which BK has shown he can do! 12-0 regular season. If we pull in a couple of experienced DL and CB in portal for depth

If House and the entire defensive staff return, maybe 5-6 wins!

That really is unacceptable. He will never win anything if he doesn’t improve on that front.

The expectation should be to make the playoff. If we don’t, the season would be a failure imo.

There’s lots of question marks, though I’m confident the staff will address them. 9-3 is a realistic guess with a better defense and worse offense which balance out. I think we go at least 10-2 and look much better as the season goes on and the team gels. Just don’t stumble out the gates again, which will be easier said than done

Next year will definitely be much different. I'm hoping/praying for the best, but there are so many unknowns on both sides of the ball that CBK has a huge challenge ahead of him!
