Realistic Expectations for LSU Baseball??

Really thought we would be a National Seed, I’m starting to realize that probably won’t happen. We still have a chance to hoist a Regional, just not sure we’re healthy enough to get this done either. Just making a Regional may be the best we can do this year. Maybe we get healthy late and go on a run in the post season and make it to CWS. Just trying to be positive.

I keep telling myself that this team will turn things around, but we just aren’t consistent. To be great you have to be ready to play every game. College baseball is a grind and this team hasn’t showed the ability to focus and be ready to play every game. Getting bumped out of a regional would not surprise me. I think we have some great upperclassman but I think we lack leadership with those upperclassman. Both Dup and Watson are very soft spoken guys. They aren’t the type to light a fire under anyone. The remainder of the year will be interesting, because we do have the talent to go deep.

Hosting a regional is very much in doubt with the coaching that we have....CWS is not going to happen this year....our pitching won't get us there...the team as a whole is lacking in chemistry and leadership...its painful as a fan watching such a mediocre effort at times...

I think we finish this series out with 2 wins but I also think we get smoked in Arkansas and only win 1 game there. Unless we sweep our other 2 conference series (which is doubtful) we finish at 18-12. That might get us a regional, but it definitely won’t get us a National seed.

Not encouraging, with all the lame arms and assorted injuries. Given the remainder of the schedule (Ole Miss, at Arky, Auburn) I think if the Tigers finish with a breakeven record (15-15) it should be counted as successful. Then, like last year, see if they can make hay in the SEC tourney and travel out west for a regional slot.

National Seed is out of the question . Our mid week performance has sealed that. We can still host a regional but need to win this series and 2/3 after that. I doubt we do that with the leadership we have. Injuries are a convenient excuse.

18-12 with an Sec tournament championship or maybe finals appearance gets you a national seed

The line up that didn’t put up one run until the 9th is healthy. This line up can score we have seen it there is just zero consistency day in day out which does not bode well for the post season.

It is hard to be consistent when we have as many injuries as we have. Dugas had not batted since February! Our best starter, Henry, is not even on this trip.
