Just had a discussion about Brennan at a bar.

I've never been to impressed with his throwing motion.

Slings it like a baseball.

But just realized in that discussion that the only reason he was the number two is because both of the QBs ahead of him on the depth chart transferred when Burrow showed up.

There's nobody under him except freshmen.

Let the freshmen play. Get them experience in a weird year.

Don't give me any Bs about freshmen thrown into the fire.

Lawrence took over 3 or 4 games into the season as a true freshman.

Defense gives up most passing yards in SEC History. Brennan looks timid but still throws for 345 and 3 scores.

Do you think either of these freshman is in the same stratosphere as Trevor Lawrence? They had no spring practice and a limited fall camp. They aren't ready.

Slight talent difference. Lawrence will be the #1 pick in the NFL draft. If he was was able to come out as a sophomore he would have been right behind Burrow.

Brennan didn’t earn the starting job, O gave it to him for sticking around

I think if one of the other two young guys was some lights-out stud that was better than Brennan in practice, you'd be seeing them. It's just where we are right now.

I remember all the rational decisions ive made at the bar as well.

I'm glad I kept them to myself.

At the start of the season last year, Burrow was a projected late 2nd round at best.

When Lawrence got the start, he wasn't a guarantee.

Defense also got 4 turnovers.

It's not the stats that are concerning.

It's the way he carries himself and plays.

There is no confidence at all in the offense.

Mainly because it seems to not have confidence.

Lots of pro quarterbacks throw like that. Mahomes, rodgers, Murray. Not saying he is any of them, but this is a stupid complaint

That had to have been informative. The drunk leading the drunker.

Welll that settles it. Oh BTW What are your credentials for quarterback instruction?

More wisdon from the Natty Light quarterback academy? Let me guess everybody there has won at least one major championship playing that position?

You can read! That subject was touch and go for a while.

More advice from a proven quarterback coach? However did the pros let you get away from them with you giving advice like that?

quote:

Lawrence took over 3 or 4 games into the season as a true freshman.

And the QB that beat him in the Championship game last year had how much experience?

Thanks for the Natty Light Sunday afternoon Quarterback Club report. We are eternally in your debt

Lawrence was the #1 overall player in the nation. Johnson was #253 and Finley #499. One of these guys is not like the others.
