As hard as it was to do I re-watched the Arkansas Game.. Harris never stood a chance. He was running for his life and constantly in 3rd and longs. Terrible game plan and atrocious Oline play.

Also- Thank God Steele is gone. Its like he was actively trying to put them out of position.

What was it, the opening drive of the 2nd half where they ran straight shotgun no huddle? That was an impressive drive.

Alot of people when mentioning Harris' struggles forget to mention the terrible pass blocking. I think it messed with his head and ability to be comfortable in the pocket.

I really hope our OL is better across the board this year. It was awful at times last

That game was lost on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. No game plan had a chance on offense.

Literally the most pissed I've ever been during an LSU sporting event. I felt embarrassed how mad I got

I need rewatch the Arkansas game.

But I don't see how the game plan was atrocious. Miles spread the ball out to make up for losing two TEs out FB and an O linemen or two. Offense was just beat to all hell.

I was in the stands. Didn't think we were out of it till it was 31-14.

our pass blocking was awful at times. the staff needs to compensate if the line can't hack pass blocking again this year. snap in the gun and let harris throw on the run. it seems we recruit the roadgraders but they can't block or they don't know who to block.

The OL had some shaky times last year. They need to improve more than most think.

I may get skewered for this but I honestly believe losing Vadal won't hurt us. We may even be better at right tackle with Weathersby there. The learning curve at left tackle could complicate things. That's our biggest unknown.

When you are so basic in your offensive sets, it's easy for the opposing defense to just tee off on you..

Vadal was a huge liability as a pass protector.

I agree with you. Losing Vadal imo wont hurt at all..... Man, the more I think about our oline last season we should have done waay better. We lost 2 experienced guys and probably will end up better this season.

Dude, they spread it out and chunked it. They totally went away from what they did all season.

And isn't that what y'all wanted? Arkansas had a strong run d, there has been another thread about not throwing it enough against bama and running your head into a brick wall.

They didn't do that against arky.

If it is so basic, please explain.

I'm just trying to figure out what other teams do that isn't basic. Which would be only 3 teams LSU played considering they outscored the other 9. So their offenses must be even more basic than LSU.

I've mentioned this so much, but the OL was over matched from November to the end of the regular season. When they actually faced DLs with a pulse they couldn't protect jack. Fournette had to create his lanes the entire November.

Arkansas had one of the worst pass rush in the country before they played us. Harris was also one of the least sacked QBs before November. November showed that the OL was completely overrated and young.
