LSU tried to utilize the passing game they developed in practice vs EMU early, but had to abandon or else chance defeat, and then had some success on about 30 att vs a suspect USCe.

That game was hard to watch... By halftime I was ready to go. When they went up 31-14 I'd had enough.

give me 5 star line and 3 star skill and I will beat your 3 star line and 5 star skill.

LSU was missing several blockers by the Arkansas game as I recall. And the young DL just got out-played by the Hogs OL. Look for both lines to be improved, especially up the middle. All those freshmen from last season are grown men by now.

it seems we recruit the roadgraders but they can't block or they don't know who to block.
Tell that to the OL Coach who continues to try and force that Zone Blocking BS down their throats.

It's more difficult to learn your assignments and execute them in a game and there are consistent break downs in most every "Big Boy" SEC game.

Put em in Man to Man and let em play without having to think so much. Don't know why Grimes thinks this a better system to run at LSU.

I personally don't think Mawae would be running this system if he were OL coach here. Make it easier and let the athleticism take over..............

funny how the guy whose responsibility actually is the offense and whose name rhymes with dam always gets a pass on this board. Despite the poor execution and despite all the false starts and delay of game and all the other offense penalties

also have one of the best single pass rushers in the country. Deatrich Wise Jr f

DWJr had 4.5 TFL and 2 sacks in 9 games before he played LSU. Outside of Bama's and maybe Ole Miss OL, he played some crappy arse offensive lines. His next 2 games, after LSU, were against two of the worst OLs in the country in Mizzu and Miss St. He racked up with 6 sacks in those 3 games.
