For several reasons, an arguably overly-enthusiastic 9 (in no particular order of importance):
1. The coaches and players shall have a much better idea of how to plan, prepare, travel, and practice, negotiating CV-19 protocols.
2. Players will be accustomed to stadiums with a scarcity of fans and having to solely manufacture their own game-time energy (a huge change for returning players early last season) and to a bland, day-to-day university life.
3. Overall, the team will be - more or less - “fully stocked,” not losing 20 players to the NFL (drafted and undrafted free agents) and likely incurring few to no opt-outs due to fear and uncertainty.
4. Continuity on the offensive line, with four of five starters returning.
5. Entire defensive line returning, while adding a five-star true freshman.
6. Two All-American cornerbacks, both ball-hawks with excellent hands.
7. Three returning quarterbacks, who all received multiple opportunities to start and saw significant playing time (all during SEC play).
8. Two highly recruited freshman (and much needed) safeties.
9. A battle-tested and All-American caliber kicker.
10. A full season of starts and snaps for Kayshon Boutte.

6. People keep talking about 2021 returns like were winning it all lol.
2022 though? 10/10. THATS the year. Gonna be some whiny little shits next year when we drop a couple games not knowing the real storm is coming.

Approximately 7.8375
Both a veteran OL and DL, 2 of the best CB in the nation, the top 2 safeties in the country coming in, hopefully a healthy Brennan.

If we can put some fans in the stands and have a decent defensive staff it goes to 10

I'm probably a 5 right now. I need the organization to show me something.

Every year is a 10 for me. I've seen some pretty lean years and am optimistic every new football season. Les Miles got real stale for me but I was always excited to see new players show their skills. The anticipation grows and grows from now until gameday !

9.825, maybe a 10 if Nuss starts...
Really impressed with Peetz and glad to have Mangas back, both seem to be much more than just football "coaches". Maybe we will see full utilization of JE and TDP's skill sets, + the 2 freshman RBs. D will certainly be better than BP's lackluster 2020 effort.
