Rate your enthusiasm for the 2021 LSU football season, 1-10

I'm at a tepid 6. Encouraged for sure by the number of returnees, the young minds coaching the offense, quarterback experience all around, return of the best kicker in CFB, and the way the season ended. Not knowing who will lead our defense, and if that unit will show improvement...well...uncertainty drives the stock market down.

With a veteran O line
Plus many other guys coming back. I’m excited and have optimism. Our young guys showed grit the last half of the season

But my enthusiasm for all sports has tanked as a result of 2020.

Probably around a 6 or so. Super nervous about the DC (soon to be) hire because we could get another Pelini.
Either way, our trajectory is positive so that's a plus

A 8 out of 10 if this covid shite is gone by summer. I want to go see the tigers in the Rose Bowl. If covid is still here then a 6 because we will be pretty damn good next season.

About a 7 which was probably where it was at before 2019. I think 2016 I was at a 9 and the letdown scarred me.

Only reason it’s not a 10 is bc of this sjw bullshite, Chinese flu and empty stadiums.
Really took it out of me this year.
Makes me appreciate 2019 that much more

In comparison, it was 7 for 2020 pre COVID and only 3 after COVID.

In regards to the team probably an 8 or 9
In regards to the season probably a 5 or so
It really just depends on if we have COVID regulations or if we are finally normal.

Considering I lived through the lean years, I'm at an 8.5. We should be good.

I'm holding my enthusiasm until the coaching staff and signing class are complete. Luke warm but hopeful until then.

I was a 1 going into this past season. I’d say I’m a 4 for the next season. 2019 exercised a lot my stress about the program. I’d say I’m at least the 22 season before I’m worried about anything.

LARGELY due to the fact it is hard to see us as a society going from a few thousand people in the stands spread out intermittently and continued doom and gloom spreading about the "pandemic" to 100k people packed in Tiger Stadium in just a ~8 months.
A huge part of what makes college football (and sports in general) great is the pageantry and excitement that comes with attending the games. Watching another year of something somewhat close to this pathetic season (not specifically LSU, just in general) doesn't excite me. College football is not all that fun when it's not "fun"
I want to see the players having fun. I want to see the students having fun at games like when I was at LSU. I want to see people enjoying themselves on a fall Saturday. I don't want to see inanimate cardboard cut outs pretending to be "fans" and players worried about putting on a mask for SOLELY for theatre instead of just playing the game they love.
