Who on here remembers the full names of both of these Co-DC's that comprised the "Mallveto Monster" of 2008....

This year without a doubt. See last year he had a freshman edge rusher named Perkins who no one knew anything about. He was so dominant from his position he not only controlled games but single handedly won one of them(Arkansas). So knowing how good this cat is and how he’s lacking talent at certain positions the following year he comes up with schemes and zone formations where he wants Perk to make up for 2-3 lesser talented players. BIG MISTAKE AS WE ALL FOUND OUT!!!!! It was obvious last year he had no clue but with Baskerville and the emergence of Perkins it was masked (well more so then this year with one gone and one deemed ineffective due to his overuse or whatever you wanna call it) unlike this year. New guy needs to come in and build AROUND Perkins not have him trying to rush passer, stop the run, and cover receivers and tight ends. Bring back the 2022 version of Harold. So this year D has to be the worst edging out Pelini 2.0.

The 2020 defense was god awful, never seen a defense just give up +40yd plays like it was a 3yd run. Pelini2 at least had the excuse of it being the COVID year, and it wasn’t year 2 of his system.

But this Matt House defense is worse because he’s been here over a full season and two off seasons, knows everything he has personnel wise and still can’t field even a remotely effective defense, fundamentally horrible, and has so much more talent than 2020 Pelini yet still can’t figure out who the best players are that should be playing. Also took the best impact defensive player we’ve had and made him disappear into a NB

The only benefit of the doubt I give Pelini 2 was the entire 2020 season with the Covid Hoax was a joke. Pelini certainly made it worse, but the whole season was like a spring football season that counted.
