A team unable to score points against any playoff level competition just isn’t going to make waves, do you think ANYONE in the country wants to see an LSU BAMA rematch besides BAMA fans who have been pushing our shite in going on a decade?

We’ll see how many conference champions blow by us if teams like Washington and Texas win their conferences, which is very possible.

It’s amazing how incapable of forward thinking and looking ahead the so-called “experts” are.

Anybody else surprised how hard they shite on LSU when we were first announced at #7?

ESPN was straightened out by Alabama, the SEC and the NCAA when they were forced to apologize to SEC officials (Alabama) for even mentioning any impropriety.

Well, we failed to score a single point against Bama.

Get over it man. The problem is we lost to Florida. And actually ESPN is right. To this point we have been given the most respect of anyone in the country except Bama. We have two losses and are in front of one loss and undefeated teams. You can not tell me that any of you really were working out how we get in the playoff scenarios in your head. That's just naive.

Ugh. They made that EXACT point. They were not "hard" on LSU. Only that teams behind LSU have an OPPORTUNITY to move ahead by winning the conference championships.

They WERE thinking forward. They accounted for BOTH scenarios: LSU into playoffs AND LSU being passed from behind.

Some of the LSU family simply WANT to be offended and look for opportunities to be upset. The panel took BOTH positions. You know...they discussed "what if" scenarios.

I agree that the optics/perception of the Bama loss sours analysts on LSU. With all of the build up for the game to lay an egg on national TV for the marquis game makes LSU look like fools gold.

That's why regardless whether we deserve our ranking or not, until we fix the offense this team will never be a true contender. We will only be fighting for 2nd place in the West.

That’s what they’re told to say. It’s the same as Media Matters creating the talking points for the Dems/Hard Left on a daily basis.

The “powers that be” do not want LSU in the playoffs.

1) shite the bed against Bama
2) Struggled against a shitty Arkansas team
3) Lost to a beatable Florida and looked bad doing it
4) Could very well get boatraced by TAMU

Tell me where they are wrong about their "placeholder" statement.

The problem is that fans are so excited about how LSU has exceeded expectations (and, they have) and a lot are ignoring the fact that they are, in fact, underachieving for what they should be doing.

Yea you're right, because we have two losses and no chance of winning our conference.. Damn the man

Rece Davis basically said that "from here on out, LSU is irrelevant. Nice season guys, but we won't be talking about you anymore".

And then they proceeded to talk about LSU for about the last 5 minutes of the show discussing a scenario if teams lose and LSU and UCF are the choices to get in. Palmer said no LSU because we've seen LSU/Bama already. Galloway said it's not about what matchups they would like to see, but who appears to be the best team. He said he would choose LSU easy due to their resume.

Bingo! We will find out soon enough how serious Orgeron is about keeping his dream job at LSU. If no coaching changes and/or offensive improvements are made in the off-season, and we trot the same garbage out there next season, we won't be serious contenders for anything other than 2nd in the SECW.

I agree with what was said.
It’s not crapping on LSU. It’s an assessment of the system in place.
Once things play out LSU will drop because other teams will move up. Not because of some perceived hate for us.

What a bunch of crybaby’s we have in our base. “Everyone hates us. We get no respect.”

I didn't watch it but there is a point to be made that LSU is overranked, albeit not very much.

our OL is causing our offense to be marginally functional and we have key injuries on defense starting with Chaisson but add Feihiko, Fulton and others that may not play (sorry, I suck at spelling).

this is a strange team; one that can barely block SE yet could block Georgia. our WR's have dropped more passes than I can ever remember and our QB is running for his life in most games. we struggle mightedly to score TD's in the red zone and our run defense is inconsistent. YET, we have won 9 games with 2 to go.

I refuse to place a wager on this team (for or against).

imo, this team could easily go 9-4 but wouldn't surprise me if we go 11-2.

How much forward thinking towards absolute chaos do they need to do?

As long as Clemson doesn't lose out, they're probably in. If either Ohio State or Michigan wins out, they're in. If Georgia wins out, they're in, they may even be able to survive a loss against GT. Bama is all but guaranteed a spot with a loss at this point. Oklahoma wins out, in. WVU wins out, in.

Even at 7, LSU is so far down the pecking order that they don't really merit discussion until Sunday if and when upsets happen. They are behind the presumptive champions of the ACC, B10, Big XII, SEC, and Pac.
