Best pure athlete? No.
Then you don't know. The guy is a natural athlete in pretty any sport he touches.
Not surprised the talking heads here don't know shite from shinola.

I did not see Joey Bell...as for "10 Greatest 'Athletes' in LSU History"...he has to be considered over every other LSU baseball player mentioned...even Ben McDonald.

Id add Laron Landry too the mix too...the guy is gonna be one of the greatest IMO

Gotta separate 'em by sports... I just don't see how you can put baseball players against football players against runners against... golfers?...

Ronnie Estay - dominate defensive line
Mike Anderson - best linebacker we ever produced!
Gary Beban - second best linebacker
Toby Caston - third best
Louis Cascio - fourth best
A.J. Duhe
Tommy Cassanova
Coach Mac COULD coach defense
Screw it...if we had had guys like this playing Sat, Aubarn would have had between 60-100 yds rushing

Change it to greatest players to play at lsu. People think that athlete means how athletic you are which would cancel some baseball players and golfers

Simeone Augustus and X are higher than Shaq and Kev Faulk?

I know this is all opinion, so there is no "wrong" answer, but I cannot see how anybody's top 10 list does not start with Billy Cannon. He was an absolute beast. He was huge for a running back (bigger than most offensive lineman at the time), was likely the fastest man on the team (he reportedly ran a 4.5, but that would be hard to verify), and he played on both sides of the ball.
In Cannon's career, he scored every way you can score: punt return, kick return, interception return, running, passing, receiving, kicking field goals, kicking extra points, running for extra points.....you get the idea.
This guy was the original "Freak"

Glenn Dorsey is the most dominating D-Lineman since I have been watching LSU football(1980).
Anthony "Booger" MacFarland > G.Dorsey. Dorsey was Great, but MacFarland was a beast.
