He pointed to Burrow likely carrying the ball more, exposing him to more hits and chance for injuries, he also mocked Brennan’s weight gain, his “body by buffet.”

IMO standing in the pocket and taking hits is a greater risk of injury vs a QB run occasionally. Either way, Brennan needs to be ready to contribute and I think he can. He may never be bulked up, but I don't think he's frail.

Rabalais pointed to LSU’s enormously talented secondary but also noted “the depth at cornerback is a serious concern.”

Depth is not as big an issue as is experience after the 3 of Fulton, Stingley and Vincent. We still have Netherly at CB and freshmen Hampton, Flott, Ward and Raydar Jones. As long as we don't have to rely on these FR early they are talented and will be able to step in later in the season without a significant drop off.

He’s right on all those points? So Brennan didn’t work his arse off lifting weights, he just gained a fat arse at the buffet?

"optimism and concern"

Sounds like he just wants to be able to say he was right no matter how the season goes.

It's either total ignorance or stupidity.

Yes, for the normal human stuffing your face with pizza, hamburgers, etc will likely lead to becoming a fat arse. I would assume Brennan is not just eating rice and gravy though. I would be willing to bet he is on a very high calorie diet, but with the amount these players work and work out, he is not putting on lbs of fat.

I didn't read the article, and I'm not reading that shite, but just from the copied part I'm going to say he is a dumbass.

Sadly a lot of those issues can be traced back to the 2018 recruiting class that was so terribly off the mark.

I don’t really get why everyone is so pissy about this. He wrote an article pointing out potential areas of concern. I just read it, and he certainly didn’t act like the sky is falling. In fact most of it was really “here’s what to watch for in fall camp”.

Are there people here who truly have no concerns at all about any position going into the season?

Ready for the move in day thread. Brennan’s physique will be examined for weeks.

Right. Myles is a nice young boy who is trying his hardest and doesn’t need some mean reporter teasing him about his weight.

Seems like he was trying to be funny and clever, and he just failed at it. Swing and a miss for SR.

I agree the depth at corner is not there. Fulton is the only one with real playing time or not a true freshman. I 100% believe in Stingley of course, he is an absolute stud ,but after Vincent it gets dicey. It would hurt bad if something happened to Fulton or Stingley.

Absolutely right to include the NFL! Scott has a firm grasp of the obvious.

Exactly, it's one thing to talk about depth concerns in the off season, but what does he know about Brennan's BMI? Just comes off as bitter and petty.

Scott Rabalais in trying to be funny appears like an arse, a very large arse you might say by the buffet.
