re: Quick poll #2 if LSU makes playoffs would you rather play Ole Miss or Kentucky again

I think LSU would beat either Ole Miss or Kentucky in a rematch. But as Lane Kiffin keeps saying they had so many chances to put Kentucky away. I think they are running out of rabbit feet. 2 consecutive OT wins by the same 1 point margin and the exact same score...35-34. That pretty much says it all right there.
I don't Kentucky even makes the playoffs. They could literally lose 3 games in a row starting this weekend with Tennessee. IMO, Kentucky isn't a top 25 caliber team.

Kentucky because I think they would be an easier win in a rematch.

I think you meant to say Kentucky will NOT make the playoffs.

3rd and Baker will be the end of this team

I will admit you have a point there. LSU isn't as bad on 3rd downs as last season but I still would rather have the other team with 3rd and 4 than 3rd and 12. My God, the DEFENSE is supposed to have the advantage on 3rd and long or 4th and long. I believe that last Auburn TD with the backup QB playing was 4th and 16 which they got to set up that last TD.

You realize LSU is one of the best teams in the country on third down yeah? Ranked 16th overall and 2nd in the SEC. Only team in the SEC with a better percentage on third down is Oklahoma. So, I’d say everyone needs to let that shite go and get over your hate for Baker. LSU is one of the best defenses in the entire country in all statistical categories…. Your dumb comment has nothing to back it.

The team with the lesser QB and zero playoff experience……..all day every day

Neither will Ole Miss or Kentucky be in the playoffs.

Kentucky because I think LSU is objectively the better team
I think KY is better than OM, as a team. Neither is championship material though. LSU may or may not make the playoffs, but they are one of the most complete teams in college football on both sides of the ball. OM D will never allow them to win a championship, and Chambliss is not nearly as effective without a run game and Kiffin and Co calling the offense. Just look at his stats.

Yes, LSU is good on 3rd and short. However, LSU gives up way too many 3rd and 9 and 3rd and 12 and that 4th and 16 with that backup QB in for Auburn and LSU's 1st team defense back on the field is indefensible. As I said before, I would much rather have the opponent 3rd and 4 than 3rd and 12. That is ridiculous how many long gains are given up on long distance 3rd downs. Another example in the Auburn game was a 3rd and 15 I think it was and a simple swing pass in the flat gave them the first down. That looked like a throwaway play that got a first down.
If Baker were to leave LSU, I want someone who calls a defense to stop a 3rd and Mars type line to gain.

Logic says Kentucky. A hot Chambliss is a huge x-factor.
Posted on 10/27/26 at 6:19 am to doya2
Why not both! If only one of them would go Kentucky bc I think they are easier to beat. If Chambliss gets hot he can carry ole miss.
Kentucky outcome really was due to bad luck and poor execution by lsu the first time.

Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl
There's absolutely no way Ole Miss makes the Semi-Finals with the way they played last week and now with Lacy out.

I think Ole Miss will have 4 losses when all said and done.
I think KY will have 3 - that may still get them in the playoff - they say they are weighing SOS more this year.....we'll see.
But to your question in a vacuum - KY - I'd rather face Minchey than Chambliss any day.

Try living in Kentucky. So my answer is Kentucky.

Why not both? Because we need to right the ship against two traditionally inferior programs.

Ol’ Piss. BTHO of them and ending their season would be pure poetry.
