and an off balanced three off the glass is standard?

Typical jackass Florida fan. That's why it sucks to be a Florida gaytor....

OK, after last nights game, the concensus in Gator Nation is that UF is really pretty good, just got beat by a team that's a little better. I actually think UF and LSU are about equal if you consider that Thornton and Mitchell hit some absolutely ridiculous shots, Calathes was subpar and it was still down to the last minute.

Do you guys think UF is NCAA worthy? What do you think their chances are down the stretch?

Good game last night. If Thornton is that good every night, he's pretty special. Too bad you guys aren't on TV much this year.
I still think we were the better team, but not by a whole lot. Keep in mind our star, Tasmin (or one of 2 stars) was subpar and our inside guy CJ(although he's not a star) was totally non-existant. I agree that it was a good game. Both teams could have played better, but I think our poor play and your poor play pretty much evened out. Thornton is usually that good on most nights and I agree it's a shame we've not gotten more tv coverage.

That's typical from him though.

Tasmin had an off night, but CJ was about on par with his usual self.

Do you really think any of us would get any better treatment saying something similar on a gator board???

I'll take your word that Calathes had a sub-par game because I've only seen him play a couple of times this year. However, due in large part to the type of defense the Gators were in, TMitch scored over 8 points below his SEC per game average. I think you meant Temple and Thornton made the shots but at any rate, the type of defense Billy employed dictated that those two guys and Spencer would get the most looks. Bo also was off on his shooting last night but made a couple of nice plays. If Billy had employed a straight man to stop the outside game, Mitchell would have put up big numbers, based on his last dozen games or so. It's basically pick your poison against any team that has an inside/outside game. I thought overall that the Gators played much better as a team than the other two times I'd watched them this year. Hodge definitely played much better than the other games I viewed. You guys should be great next year especially if Calathes stays. If Mitchell decides to jump ship, the Tigers will struggle a bit next year.

I was curious why everyone was being so nice to you considering the fact that you had so many backhanded compliments in your original post. If you think these responses make us seem like jerks, you should come back when we're in a bad mood.

Mitchell had an off night. I'm guessing you meant Temple. If Mitchell had gotten in a groove, this wouldn't have been much of a game.

Does Florida deserve to be in the tourney?
They are on the bubble, where they deserve to be. If they win a few more games, I expect them to be in.

Look, even the tv announcers made mention of how Thornton wasn't even set on some of the 3s he hit with a hand right in his face. Yes, I know the guy is good, but nobody...not Kobe, not Lebron not anyone, is good enough to hit those shots at a reasonable clip. The guy had a great night, and he deserves credit, but it's a valid point. I said "ridiculous" , not lucky.

To the person that commented on how many "backhanded comments" I made...what in the hell are you talking about?

My last comment...if LSU goes on the road, against a higher ranked opponent and loses by 6, wouldn't LSU fans have a valid point that the two teams are pretty much on par with each other?

I definitely think they are NCAA tourney worthy, but I would be kind of surprised to see them make it out of the second round, depending on their draw.

And LSU is better than them. Sorry.

Florida lost to Georgia therefore any arguement that you might have about them being an equal team to LSU will be discarded.

Thank you and GFY.

Hey Ufag fan, You did not compliment LSU. You said that two of our scorers last night were ridiculous with their games. But you made no mention of some of your 3 point shots that went in, especially the brick 3 by Hodge! Temple is widely known as one of the best defenders in the country, and when he was switched to Calathes instead of the recently injured and much smaller Spencer, Calathes got shut the frick down, PERIOD! Our best player, Thornton, can hit shots and still score when he is guarded, unlike your guy! Hell, Tasmin missed about 3 point blank layups, and had nowhere near his type of game, yet we still won. Most of the people that posted after your original post, were very cool and gave a general overall decent response to you, even after you gave a half-assed description of LSU and our win against your 5 game SEC losers. And I would have said yall were pretty damned good, and should definitely be be in the Big Dance. However, after seeing your 2nd post on same subject, you are a typical pansy arse spoiled fricking piece of shite wittle Gaytor fan brat, who wanted evrybody to absolutey agree 100% with your assesment and kiss Ufag's arse, and if we did not, WE are jerks! I'll tell you what, nobody gives a rat frick if you come back to this board or not, so go to fricking hell, and get ready for your next arse whipping courtesy of LSU in Baseball, Football, and maybe even again in Basketball again this year. Hell, yall could not even beat us in Basketball last year on your home floor, when we were still reeeling from the Brady administration! Have a Great Day!

I'd say that has to include him, given that he is a fan of a rival team that LSU just beat and came onto an LSU message board saying he thought they were just as good as LSU.

we have 1 loss in the SEC and yal have 5. G-ville by far has the most classless fans in the SEC. Katrina jokes going into the stadium was a real good touch

i really haven't seen 1 comment that makes anyone a jerk in this thread. I'll start though:

quit being such a pussy
