The reality is you are not getting the point. MOST normal people don't accept jobs to work for idiots (you being the exception, I got that part of your reality); therefore BG and FW probably don't consider Miles to be an idiot.

Most normal people don't say "Hey there is a guy who is gonna get fired in a year, let's go work for him".

No, I've understood your point from the beginning. What you refuse to acknowledge is that people accept jobs for many different reasons. People even accept temporary or contract work for various reasons. I know, CrAzY hUH?

FW wants more money and come home to Louisiana. Done. BG wasn't staying at UF, wanted more money and hopefully an opportunity to showcase his skills at a new venue. Done.

Les Miles being an idiot has less to do with it than anything IMO. People go and work for Saban and he's a complete prick. Why work for a prick? Same reason to work for an idiot: 1. money, 2. advancement, 3. family, 4. stability.

Keep focusing on point (4) and "idiot", no problem.

BS.........I have 5 season tickets, make just about all of the road games, I'm not a "true" fan because I think Miles is a frigging idiot who can't coach his way out of a paperbag? I guess you were totally satisfied to watch us getting drubbed during the Hallman years and anyone who disagreed were "bad" fans.

For starters, he appears to have a verbal syntax aphasia, in which he simply cannot put words together in a very sensible order when speaking. It is quite possible that he expresses himself fairly well on paper, but just cannot do it verbally. In terms of the masters degree, there are a few degree fields that a number of folks not intellectually gifted earn a masters in - particularly those non-thesis masters degrees.

We have alot in common. Voicing displeasure is certainly a fans right. But the comment was made in reference to what appears to be people bitching just to hear themselves bitch. If LSU doesn't blow everybody out by 40, they're not happy.

You're entitled to your opinion in regards to Les' ability to coach. I understand where you're coming from. I'm definitely not saying he's a great coach, don't get me wrong. He's made his share of mistakes. But no matter who the next HC is, whenever that is, he's gonna make mistakes too. All of them do.

Mack Brown, whom many consider an excellent coach, made the same stupid mistake Les and crew did at Ole Miss game. Thing is, he got away with it. So can Mack coach his way out of a wet paperbag? Absolutely.

And I painfully remember the Curly years. It wasn't enjoyable most times, to say the least. It just gets really old (to me) to constantly see/hear "fans" bash a program they claim to support. It's the fair weather fans I commented to.

You mean the Mack Brown that hasn't had less than a 9 win season at Texas. The Mack Brown that has 9 straight 10+ win seasons?

Yeah, he's Les Miles before Les Miles was Les Miles. Amazing the analogies you guys propose.

I agree, and to be 100% honest until the Ole Miss game I was on board.....but that just summed up everything I had feared the last couple of years. I wasn't impressed with Arkansas game, but then everything came back yesterday with the putrid play calling at the end of the game.
How many times in the last two years were you happy when you left Tiger Stadium? This years Auburn game was about the best home game in two years.

Drizz, I totally agree about Mack Brown. You're missing my point though. As good as Mack is, he made the same bonehead clock mismanagement mistake that Les and crew made.

I think if you put Mack in the SEC he does not have these stats. I mean who does he really have to beat every year? With the exception of last year, the Big 12 is not the SEC. He has his pick of the talent in Texas. There for a while the Texas faithful was ready to run him out of town because Stoops owned him.

Agreed. I don't think that justifies Les, but I do see your point.

I dont know who wrote the top part but that person is an idiot...why do you have to support the head coach to be a fan? Does that make me less of an american because I dont support Obama?

While I agree, Mack has proven himself much more than Les imo. Mack had THREE 10+ win seasons at UNC (during 11 game regular season schedules).

Anyhow, we will definitely get off-topic with this.

For me with Miles, it's more of a continued series of events than one specific event. But the Ole Miss game probably sealed the deal for me. I still wish him success, ESPECIALLY as long as he remains at LSU - which I personally hope isn't much longer.
