so miles is a better X's and O's coach than nick? or even equal?

and yes Saban is light years ahead of les on discipline that has been evident for years and years now. a blind monkey could see it.

so he wins with better talent? so miles is not that great of a recruiter afterall or he is bad at offensive coaching. which is it?

I think they are about equal, honestly. I don't think either is an X/O genius. Neither is a Chip Kelly.

Well, that's a false dichotomy. I think Saban is the very best recruiter in the nation. #1. No one's better. I think Miles is top five. Miles is a great recruiter, but I have no problem saying Saban is a better recruiter. I think he's the best there is. Last year, LSU went undefeated in the regular season with a team that only had one player on the preseason All-SEC squad. Even at season's end, Alabama had as many first team All Americans as LSU had 1st team all-SEC.

I think Miles is a better motivator. He's like the Dale Brown of football coaches. I think he gets the most out of players (I know many will disagree) and he gets players to play to the limits of their ability through inspiration. But he's great at turning lightly hyped prospects into studs (Hester, Claiborne, Mathieu). I think Saban gets the most out of his teams through discipline and fear. It's effective as well. It's not an either/or thing. Both can work.

I'm not so caught up in that one of the two has to suck. Both are great coaches.

I honestly don't know how he would have huge success offensively without a real pass-catching TE. We have not had that for 3 years now and Bama has had that for about that long.

Could Saban win the NC with 2012 LSU team? Playing LSU schedule and losing many players to injuries? How about if Miles plays Saban's 2013 schedule and Miles play his?

The same Saban who lost to Miles and JJ at home in 2011, with arguably a better team than his 2012 team? The same Saban who had to beg for a second chance?

Wow.

So, he would take our 2012 team, which outplayed his (remember, Saban used this arguement to justify the Mulligan) with all the injure, our schedule which was twice as hard as his, and beat win the MNC?

You people are delusional.

We saw how Saban struggled when he had to coach under LSU standards. Remember, he "shared" his only title when he was here. Something else he doesn't have to worry about at Bama.

Definitely. No way Saban loses to Bama or Florida this year.

And as for this Saban lover bs, if you can't see how he turned LSU around and then Alabama, then you're blind. You don't have to love the man to respect what he's done.

They twist themselves into a pretzel to somehow justify how we can continue underperforming. Anyone can see Miles has recruited at LSU. He's done a great job. But if they admit that, they have to admit we continuously underachieve. So instead they throw the players under the bus to justify our record.

Yep. In OT. Lost by 3 points.

Then 2 months later, had Bama ready to completely skull frick LSU in the rematch game for all to see.

That guy.

Dumb question. He probably wouldn't have stud running the o, so hard to answer that. If we switch the entire staffs, I say yes probably, since we nearly beat Bama and all we had to do is score a TD in the first half against UF and that is probably a different game. If we did that, Clemson never happens.

Same thing I posted in another thread:

"Again, not sure why this continues to be a topic of conversation. Any intelligent human being now concedes that Saban is a better coach than Miles by a comfortable margin. Saban has 4 NC's, Miles 1. Saban has 4 SECC's, Miles 2. When Coach A has four times as many national titles and twice as many conference titles as Coach B, only biased dunces believe that Coach B is better, or that the question is a very close one.

Saban is better. All we can do is hope for the improbable - that Miles improves, or Saban declines, and the scales are reversed. That's it. So let it go."

Seems like a guy who is just "that awesome" should be able to take care of business the first time, no? After all, isn't that what CFB is supposed to be about? Every game counts? That shite...

Wait so Saban is one drive with a healthy Bama team from not even winning the West but he could take LSU a team that lost its starting LT, RT, and RG for big chunks of the season as well as its starting C for 2 big games. That also lost 2 starting OLBs, starting RB, best receiving TE, and its best corner(Heisman Finalist). You people are delusional.

This...... You have to look at it from the other side as well as this poster did.

I think the more appropriate question is:

Are Saban's teams traditionally disciplined, fundamentally sound teams that consistently execute? Are Miles' teams?

Honestly answer. That's not saying I want Saban back or Miles gone. I like Miles, but he needs to take Saban's better qualities which are execution and attention to detail and incorporate those with his strengths which are recruiting and motivating.

when will you miles cocksuckers get it through your thick skulls it is about reality, not liking or loving anything? evidence has been provided we have a crappy offensive style and coaching but you just keep claiming..................... LINK and blaming the players. so which is it? our talent sucks and Les is not that great of a recruiter..or is it.................COACHING?

Who is bashing the players? Miles supporters arent the ones that bash players. Its the miserable fans that are never happy with anything.

Was there a problem with players executing and wrs dropping some of the easiest balls to catch? Yes that was pretty obvious.

But it is up to the coaches to get the most out of these guys. Ultimately Les is responsible for every win and loss. He just so happens to win more than any coach in LSU history.
