If Underwood is not clearly the starter by his second year on campus, he’ll be in the portal. It’s the way of the world now.

Everyone in here just shitting on Ricky Collins.
Hurley is interesting, but the dude is like 12 years old or something. I don't know what to make of him. All I know is that Underwood isn't sitting on a bench in 2026. I'd be surprised if either Hurley or Collins is on the roster 2 years from now. We'll be looking for a transfer to backup BU19

Colin Hurley is never and will never beat out Bryce Underwood for a QB job lol. I don’t think y’all fully understand how special of a prospect Underwood is he’s on pace to be one of the highest rated recruits in history and is already currently the highest rated recruit to ever commit to LSU. He’s an absurd player

Don’t waste your time with lsufanva. He’s the goofball that’s still mad at Nuss for sitting in the Texas Bowl a few years back.

Underwood starts in Year 1 on campus.
Nuss needs to go pro after next season.

First off..only Nuss and Collins are on the campus… none of the others are ACTUALLY here yet… all are having massive amounts of smoke blown up their you know wheres plus NIL ????and who knows what else… i hope everybody really shows up and then we can speculate who will leave first. Kids today are not wired to “wait their turn” all you have to do is look at the portal transfer list.

quote:That is crazy talk. Nuss is miles ahead of Underwood when it comes to college football QB play. I think many people underestimate the learning curve going from high school to college just like they do with college to NFL. It took Daniels 4 full years before he got it.

Do some of you really think Underwood would wait til 2028 to start?

Underwood starts 2026, his 2nd season as a Tiger

Little brother Nuss is pretty good too

So we juat go overlook Colin Hurley?

If Underwood does come, and that is still by no means a certainty, he won’t wait until 2028. He won’t even sit in 2026. If he’s not starting in 2026, he’s in the portal. All this ignores the portal. We just had 2 transfer QB’s win the Heisman.

Until Underwood is on campus I'm not trusting it. Plenty of time for another team to come and offer him more NIL money

LSU could hire Andy Reid to run the offense and a manning wouldn’t step foot in tiger stadium

Yeah if underwood is the starter in 2026, 2027, and 2028 (his soph, junior, and senior years), that probably means something went wrong. If he is successful in college, he’s gone after his 3rd year.
Everyone in this thread is counting BU’s years wrong. He’s currently in the second half of his junior year of HS. He will be a senior in the fall of 2024, and graduate in the spring of 2025. He’ll be on campus for summer 2025 and will be a true freshman during the 2025 season. If he’s not in line to start in 2026, we better be prepared to fight HARD to keep him from transferring. If he’s successful, he won’t be here past 2027 (his junior season).

Lmfao if you think underwood is hanging around waiting until his 4th year in the program to take over as the starter

Lol Yall are out of your mind if you think Underwood is coming here to sit for 2 seasons. He will be QB1 in year 2 as a redshirt Freshman or true sophomore. If not, he will be in the portal.

But no statue for Underwood who would be the only one on the list w/ multiple Heismans and/or multiple Nattys? Doesn't seem right.
