I've posted before and I believe purple pants can work if you put a stripe or two on them and they look like game pants. Purple pants with no stripe or logo look like practice pants. It doesn't work. But the Vikings pull it off just fine.

I don't hate the color scheme because the Vikings do have clean uniforms. I just don't like how the lettering looks on the helmet. LSUUniTracker might be able to create a concept of purple helmet/white jersey/purple pants if they haven't done so.
