but that was beyond an embarrassing loss. LSU lost to a team with less SEC wins than Vandy

by the time teams that play in smaller bowl games gets there most will have half team transferred out already due to new transfer rule

I don't mind this, but that is one reason why I am in favor of the expanded playoffs - more meaningful games and more games that are taken seriously.

ou reminded me that Arnsparger was 0-3 in bowl games for us and he was the best coach between Dietzel and Saban.
I feel like Arnsparger wanted to win the Sugar Bowl games vs. Nebraska. It's just that Nebraska was much better than those LSU teams. The Liberty Bowl v. Baylor? Yeah, Arnsparger didn't really give a damn about that one. He famously let the players drive and/or make their own way to Memphis for the game.

Drew Brees, the former NFL quarterback, is being hired as an interim assistant coach at Purdue, source tells
@SINow
.
He wanted to help during the coaching transition. He’ll assist team in prep for the Citrus Bowl and coach in the game. He can also recruit via an NCAA waiver.

What's the point of these games anymore?
Just cancel them.
At the minimum, waive all redshirts.

Arnsparger the best coach between Dietzel and Saban?
Better than Charley Mac?
That is debateable.

Passing up a chance to be coached by Drew Brees. Not a smart move. Could have soaked up a lot of knowledge then declared for the draft.

His coach is a bitch too. Finish the season with your team.

Yes. Really disappointed in a guy like Jenkins who always seemed to handle things the right way.

Can we just call this quitting the team?

They were tired. LSU is gonna beat the wheels off Purdue.

He gets a chance to lead Purdue to a major bowl win over the SEC runner up and bails?

Don't watch. Problem solved. What a bunch of little girls in this thread. Nobody gives a shite about your whining.

I like it but please explain how that would work.
On week zero or week one of the 2023 college football season, LSU would play Purdue in Orlando, Penn State would play Utah in the Rose Bowl, Alabama would play Kansas State in the Superdome, etc.
I like the idea. I think it's stupid that teams schedule games 10 years out. I also think if you go to a 12 team playoff, your season isn't crippled because you lose in week one to Purdue. And with the massive TV contracts being thrown around, the networks are going to want good games between top teams, not Alabama-Austin Peay or LSU-Southern.
