Who did they play when they saved their ace? Also, who was the “Ace”? I would say Holman is the Ace but jump is right there strong number 2. What I’ve seen today is pitching 4 and 5 guys. Trying like hell not use anyone of real substance.

You need to read your thread title again. I’m completely rational about when to pitch off. Your thread is to gloat about always throwing top pitcher game 1.

way too much overthinking going on. Any team can win in baseball, so pitch your best guy in game 1. Very simple.

In some cases yes, but there’s mountains of evidence to show highly successful, national championship winning coaches don’t adhere to this as an absolute rule no matter how much you think you know better than anyone on here.
