Pregame for Tiger Band at Cotton Bowl

Spoke with Mr. King this morning.
Tiger Band is not able to perform pregame at the
Cotton Bowl. A&M is the home team and the only
one able to perform.
As of this afternoon Cotton Bowl sent an email saying that LSU will perform for pregame!!!!

There was always a "home" team in the bowl games I went to, but both bands always had time to do pregame and halftime

its a bowl game. usually both teams get to do their thing, thats the whole point.

Roy told me they tried to work out a schedule
but the Cotton Bowl people that were in town said only the home team band does pregame.
All other bowl games both bands perform.
Tiger Band is unhappy about it but can't really do anything.
Maybe we need to start calling the Cotton Bowl office

if true this is against bowl rules and someone should make the conference aware of this. Bowls are supposed to be neutral. Only allowing one team's band to perform shows an obvious bias.

FWIW Fox may have something to do with it, seeing as this is their dress rehearsal for the Super Bowl.

On the surface what a dick move, though. Sugar Bowl allows both schools, EVEN when LSU plays here, and opposing fans bitch about it being an LSU home game.

So, I guess this means we won't get to hear Tiger Band at all then since they never play in the stands anymore.
