ETA: I'd prefer to not see Fontenot, Lachenmayer, Paz, or Garcia tonight. We need other pitchers to figure some shite out and let these guys extend on the weekends.
Ricken is the guy for me that could be a huge piece of the bullpen if he can somehow take that next step.

No, this team just isn’t good enough to play 9 innings worth of good baseball. They have about 6 innings worth at most and then the wheels fall off. And it’s mainly due to most of our bullpen sucking balls and the fielding having an unhealthy error addiction.

We give up a 5 run lead in the 6th

More of the same sad shite that we've been watching in the last few weeks.
SLU embarrasses the Tigers at home beating them by 2

We almost never send pitchers out to summer leagues to get innings, but I thing all three freshman could benefit from it this summer.
Paz needs to keep fine tuning after having so much time off with injury.
Ricken and Theophilus should be sent out as starters to bulk up on innings, try to get to 25-30 innings in starts over the summer.
It's pissing in the wind though because they're going to keep them in Baton Rouge under the guise that the lab work helps just as much as the on field experience.

Southeastern in a breather for them .

LSU, Tulane, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana. All the rest of the schools in this state are basically junior colleges.

This isn't an SEC opponent. I think we amass a big lead and squander prolly most (if not all) of it back with horrendous bullpen relief punctuated by walks, hit batsmen, wild pitches, passed balls, RBI strikeouts, and the de rigueur multi-run home run, courtesy of Guidry and/or Rizy.

Noot starting, pitching 6 innings and only giving up 2 runs.
Shoot man, if that happens, my sunshine pump is getting geared up again.
Warren Nolan has LSU currently at RPI 62. Their predicted outcome (predictions are not scientific) is as follows
Tue, Apr 28 VS Southeastern Louisiana - W - RPI 73
Fri, May 1 VS South Carolina - W - RPI 110
Sat, May 2 VS South Carolina - W - RPI 110
Sun, May 3 VS South Carolina - W - RPI 110
Tue, May 5 VS Tulane - W - RPI 123
Fri, May 8 @ Georgia - L - RPI 16
Sat, May 9 @ Georgia - L - RPI 16
Sun, May 10 @ Georgia - L - RPI 16
Thu, May 14 VS Florida - L - RPI 10
Fri, May 15 VS Florida - W - RPI 10
Sat, May 16 VS Florida - L - RPI 10
Those results are expected to lift our RPI to ... 61.
There is no path beyond the SEC tournament without either winning 2 more games between the three Georgia predicted losses and the two Florida projected losses (probably need to win the Florida series because losing at home hurts you more than losing away) or making a deep run in the SEC tournament; they may have to win it to get further.
We started the year winning 10 of the first 11 games. If we could end that way?

Southeastern has a better RPI than South Carolina (and is probably a better team).

This Southeastern team has beaten Oklahoma & Southern Mississippi (2 ranked teams)
LSU can’t take them lightly or really any team lightly the way this season has gone.

South Carolina is #110, but with a bullet. They've won 5 of their last 9 SEC games. How many SEC games have the Tigers won in their last 9?

110 is their predicted finish; currently, they are 87

3 of those wins are against Mizzou, the other two against Kentucky (LSU also beat them twice).
