Instead of a large amount of text really explaining why you're wrong I'll just give the main points...
1. Aranda will field a top 15 Defensive unit.
2. Florida and Texas A&M are not nearly as good as you believe. At the very least we split those games.
3. Myles Brennan will by fall camp be a top half of the SEC caliber passer and will when tested make plays to win games.
4. Miami was a surprise team all year. They are not sneaking up on anyone. Statement game for LSU. Tigers win by 2 scores and it's not gonna be even that close.

Glad alot of you are okay with 8-4 and hoping for a citrus bowl. Sad times. Also, love being called a crybaby for being unsatisfied with a shitty coach hire with the money this program pumps into the football program. You guys are okay with mediocrity and that's sad.
I have no idea what the record will be since we have so many questions. Plus, this staff has been rebuilding the roster in the trenches, after a few years of neglect by the previous regime. For all of Miles success, the reality is he didn't leave LSU fully stocked the way he found it nor was it in ascendency as it was after Saban. Sadly, it was in decline.
I'm not writing off the Tigers even if I have so many doubts about Orgeron. However, bitching and whining isn't going to change any outcomes because we're not at the tipping point in the Orgeron era.

How can we get better when we just hired a dinosaur for O coord whose last O coord position was 20 years ago where his O finished 98th?
Ensminger set multiple LSU offensive records when he was calling plays. We destroyed every team we played that we were supposed to beat. We will win a minimum of 9 games next year unless a) Brennan is bad or b) massive injury problems like early last year (which is why we lost to Troy and got killed by State).
Also, you haven't given any valid reason to support your prediction. Our D and ST will be improved. Our QB, WE, and oline will be improved. Our RBs may not be as good, but they will be better than most are thinking. Your opinion isn't a valid reason.

Another case of an O supporter considering his opinions as fact and saying OP's opinion is just opinion and wrong.

That makes no fricking sense
fricking moron
fricking moron

It makes perfect sense if you follow this ridiculous argument. It doesnt make any sense the a large number of the O supporters do it, but they do.
Someone says the team will suck and then here come the "that's your opinion" comments. Thats followed by "we're gonna win such and such games" like it's a fact.
And once that doesn't work, the name calling comes out. A lot like you saying "you fricking moron." Original and very intelligent rebuttal.

It very well could happen if the offense is terrible. If the O is decent the Defense will be nasty we will be alright

vs. Miami(N)----W
vs. Southeastern----W
@ Auburn----T/U
vs. LA Tech----W
vs. Ole Miss----W
@ Florida----W Cuz Eddie is not going to make them that much better in year one.
vs. Georgia----T/U because it’s at home.
vs. MISS State----W
vs. Bama----L
@ Arkansas----W
Vs. Rice----W
@ Texas A & M----W are you retarded? See Florida
10-2 at best 9-3 likely 8-4 on low side.
OL and Front 7 will be the strength of this team.
OL will make our less than exceptional RB’s(Fournette/Guice good) better. They will protect and give our young QB time to develop and get the ball to our big time talented WR corp.
DL/LB will get enough pressure to keep our CB’s covered. Talented/experienced safeties will help hide our lack of depth at CB.

quote:True, from 2000 the W/L record was inconsistent until after Saban.
nor was it in ascendancy as it was after Saban.
quote:Actually, Miles last 5 seasons prior to termination had a better overall W/L record than Saban's, or any LSU football coach's 5 year stretch, and shouldn't be used as a crutch for the ineptness.
Sadly, it was in decline.
A competent coach doesn't boast predicting playoffs when looking to be hired, then blame previous regime when he doesn't even come close.
I recall Bebe stated to the effect the team just needed a couple tweaks and an energy drink.

Because we stand a better chance losing to MSU than arky or TAMU

Well. Its not so much that you're wrong as that you can't claim to be "right" either
It's just a spring prediction
Basically worthless

Front 7 on defense will be filthy and keep us in most games. Every team has to break in new starters. It's college

This basically is the correct respones to 90% of the post about football in the past 2 months. Both pro and anti O.

I totally agree....
Only way is these young new players on offense are instantly deaths dealers and can flat out play.....when has this come out of nowhere for lay? Never......
6 n 6...is about right

Why don't you wait and see how it plays out. Good grief.

Haven't seen on (a) competent reply as to why I'm wrong except for O lovers using name calling. Glad alot (a lot) of you are okay with 8-4 and hoping for a citrus bowl. Sad times. Also, love being called a crybaby for being unsatisfied with a shitty coach hire with the money this program pumps into the football program. You guys are okay with mediocrity and that's sad.
As of 8 p.m. on Sunday night, look at all the down votes from all the "La Lifer" O Sycophants, Pump Lumps and MA's.
They're off from their Chem Plant, Fast Food and Wal-Mart jobs jobs today, (The ones that are out of HS and actually work) so they got time to cheerlead and defend the company line.
Name Calling? That's their M.O. and how they operate. When you can't really attack the message, attack the messenger with juvenile name calling.
All that being said, the team is not that far off. We got major Offensive Line problems, (A BIG problem, but I think Cregg will get the max out of them in a more efficient scheme) That doesn't mean we have the talent to compete with Bama's DL yet, just that they should be more effective with players that aren't quite SEC Championship caliber.
Brennan will be very good, but that OL has got to get their shite together and keep him on his feet. (#1 key to a successful season)
E will surprise people with his O/E "Modified West Coast" Offense and the WR's will be "Light Years" better coached and developed by Sullivan. (His age/experience is an advantage here, not the opposite)
The main problem is that there is very little wiggle room and margin for error. The adult fan base is out of patience and will not tolerate any further dysfunction in the program. If things go south early, it will escalate quickly and people will render Tiger Stadium as empty as we've seen it in a long time.

I agreex there is some reason for optimism here, but i wouldn't consider these definites.
We've seen good coaches come in and not produce before. Same goes for players that are expected to do well.

Which separates us from Alabama. That is all they think and talk. Puts pressure on the program to preform. But, it's why they are not good at anything else.
